The Academic Program Manager will lead this global Academic Adoption Program designed to drive student adoption of Emerson Test & Measurement (T&M) platforms and influence long-term product preference among the next generation of test engineers and scientists. This role builds the scalable “infrastructure” that enables Emerson T&M platforms to be teachable, supportable, and deployable across Engineering curricula worldwide—without increasing faculty burden.

  • Build scalable “program infrastructure” that enables global reuse and regional execution. This includes leading the development and rollout of core global initiatives such as the Student Ambassador Program.
  • Develop plans around student enablement that align academic workflows with real-world industry test and measurement practices, including AI augmented learning.
  • Partner with regional Academic Adoption Leads and Regional Academic Business Managers to align global programs with regional university plans and resource needs.
  • Build long‑term faculty champions and ecosystem partnerships at target universities.
  • Track program impact, student reach, adoption metrics, and report outcomes to leadership.

WHO YOU ARE: You readily distinguish between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant to make sense of complex situations. You deliver messages in a clear, compelling, and concise manner. You articulate a compelling, inspired, and relatable vision. You formulate a clear strategy and map aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization toward its goals. You adapt quickly to changing conditions.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • 5+ years in academic programs, engineering education, product adoption, or technical program leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in related engineering majors
  • Strong understanding of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) education and/or test & measurement workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale global, cross‑functional programs, and experience managing global stakeholders, priorities, and ambiguity
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
    • Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire. MUST be US Citizen or possess a Green Card

  • Prior experience working with universities, faculty, or academic ecosystems
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled learning and workforce readiness initiatives

EXPECTED OUTCOMES (12–24 Months)

  • Global academic adoption programs launched and operational

  • Repeatable deployment models active across AMER, EMEA, and APAC
