Your role at a glance

The Global Business Change Specialist is a senior, enterprise-facing role within the Strategy Realization Office (SRO) and a key part of a new, evolving capability within NTT Global Data Centers.
This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape and influence the direction, structure, and operating model of the Strategy Realization Office itself—including how it partners with the business, the services it provides, and the standards and playbooks it establishes.
The role focuses on shaping, assessing, and enabling business and digital change—bringing together structured change leadership, program design, and a strong appreciation of technology-enabled transformation.
You will act as a trusted internal specialist to senior leaders—providing objective, fact-based analysis, structured options, and pragmatic recommendations that support strategic, operational, and transformational decisions in a digital-first, global environment.
While the role does not require hands-on technical delivery, it does require a digital-first mindset and a strong understanding of how systems, data, platforms, and automation enable (or constrain) business change. You will work comfortably at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery—helping leaders make informed decisions in ambiguous environments where the playbook is still being written.

What we are looking for

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders and all key stakeholders across NTT GDC functions to shape future-state operating models, processes, and digitally enabled ways of working aligned with Strategy Realization Office goals.
  • Provide structured, independent analysis to support strategic choices, including options appraisal, benefits assessment, delivery feasibility, and technology implications.
  • Help define and evolve the Strategy Realization Office service offering, standards, and ways of working—contributing directly to how the SRO supports the business.
  • Define and evolve program-level playbooks and blueprints that enable repeatable, scalable change—balancing structure with flexibility in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Establish clear, practical program frameworks that support incremental delivery (small capabilities, clear outcomes, measurable wins) that compound over time into sustainable enterprise change.
  • Support merger, growth, and integration initiatives by ensuring business and technology decisions are aligned to enterprise strategy rather than taken in isolation.
  • Facilitate executive and senior leadership workshops to define problem and objectives, surface underlying issues, and align stakeholders around shared outcomes.
  • Translate complex, ambiguous challenges—such as cross-functional dependencies, unmet expectations, or delivery risk—into clear problem statements and requirements.
  • Lead organizational development and standardization discussions that balance global consistency with local operational realities.
  • Support the definition of scopes and requirements for external specialists, ensuring value for money, proportionate effort, and clear outcomes.
  • Lead structured reviews of current-state processes, operating models, and supporting systems using a staged, pragmatic approach (baseline, define & decide, gap analysis, implementation options and phases, execution planning and execution recommendations and what success looks like in ‘steady state’).
  • Apply a digital-first lens to business change—assessing how systems, platforms, data, and automation can simplify operations, improve control, and enable scale.
  • Perform business-led fit-gap analysis between operational needs and system capabilities, with a strong bias toward standardization, simplification, and reuse.
  • Support business systems audits during transformation, integration, or harmonization activity, including assessment of organizational fit, effectiveness, dependencies, and reporting alignment.
  • Provide clear recommendations on system development or enhancement, or change based on business value, delivery risk, and long-term sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain a living repository of business, program, and technology-enabled change blueprints using collaboration tools (e.g. Teams, SharePoint).
  • Define new playbooks where none exist—creating clear, repeatable approaches to complex change rather than relying on one-off solutions.
  • Embed blueprinting as a core organizational capability to capture learning, improve governance, and enable cumulative, serial improvement over time.
  • Contribute to building the Strategy Realization Office as a high-performing internal ‘services’ consultancy, shaping its tools, methods, and reputation over time.
  • Use blueprints to support better decision-making, clearer accountability, and increasing organizational maturity.
  • Contribute to structured change management approaches, drawing on established frameworks (e.g. Kotter) and practical experience.
  • Support the design and delivery of communications, training, and adoption plans that help leaders and teams understand what is changing, why it matters, and how it affects them.
  • Work closely with senior leaders to pace and sequence change appropriately in complex, fast-moving environments.
  • Define clear success measures, outcomes, and KPIs at the outset of program and initiatives.
  • Monitor performance and adoption metrics to provide assurance, inform decision-making, and course-correct delivery where needed.
  • Ensure processes and ways of working are efficient, repeatable, and clearly documented—creating a strong foundation for future digital enablement.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional and service specifications to support procurement, commissioning, and specialist management.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc analysis as assigned by the management team.

KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Able to define ambiguous problems, ask incisive questions, and translate strategic intent into viable, fundable, and deliverable change that is enabled by systems and technology.
  • Highly experienced in engaging executive and senior stakeholders, bridging business, operational, and technology audiences without unnecessary complexity.
  • Skilled in producing decision-focused artefacts such as process maps, programme and delivery plans, options appraisals, risk registers, budgets, and functional specifications that support both business and technology change.
  • Not a technologist by trade, but confident in understanding what digital platforms, systems, data, and automation can enable; able to challenge, probe, and shape technology-enabled solutions pragmatically.
  • Comfortable operating at strategy level with experience in financial modelling, market and investment analysis, and value-based decision support.
  • Experienced in applying Lean or similar approaches to drive incremental, measurable improvement through structured problem-solving and delivery.
  • Strong working knowledge of structured change frameworks, applied in practice to build momentum, secure buy-in, and embed sustainable outcomes.
  • Balances delivery accountability, compliance awareness, and a clear focus on customer and business value.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and results-driven; confident in challenging the status quo and navigating uncertainty where solutions are not yet defined.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in business change, transformation, program shaping, internal consulting, or strategy execution roles.
  • Experience working in complex (preferably global) organizations with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong background in operational change, program development, and organizational capability building.
  • Experience contributing to the design or evolution of transformation offices, strategy realization functions, or internal consulting teams is highly valued.
  • Experience supporting procurement, commissioning, and management of external consultant.
