We’re looking for a collaborative, self-motivated Global IT Operations Manager to join our growing IT & Security team.

As our Global IT Operations Manager, you’ll help scale and operate our internal IT systems, supporting a distributed, global workforce across the US, Canada and Europe, focusing on identity and access management, SaaS administration, and employee technology experience. You’ll collaborate closely with Security, People, and business stakeholders to design and deliver IT capabilities that improve efficiency, reliability, and employee productivity across the organization.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of IT professionals across the US and Europe, supporting day-to-day operations and team growth
  • Support IT operations across a globally distributed workforce
  • Own core IT service operations, including user provisioning, access management, SaaS administration, and endpoint lifecycle management
  • Manage identity and access systems (e.g., Okta), ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient access workflows
  • Drive automation of IT processes such as onboarding, offboarding, and access changes using tools like Tines or similar platforms
  • Administer and optimize SaaS platforms including Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, GitHub Enterprise, and others
  • Track SaaS license usage, monitor spend, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and tooling improvements
  • Partner with Security, People, and business leaders to ensure compliance, access governance, and strong employee experience
  • Support the transition of IT operations from an external provider to an in-house team, improving service quality and operational visibility
  • Define and track key IT metrics (e.g., provisioning speed, service quality, system usage) to drive continuous improvement
To Be Set Up for Success in This Role, You'll Need to Have
  • 5+ years of experience in IT, including at least 2+ years managing IT teams or functions
  • Experience administering Google Workspace or similar enterprise productivity platforms
  • Strong experience managing SaaS applications, including provisioning, access control, and license management
  • Hands-on experience with identity and access management systems, ideally Okta or similar SSO platforms
  • Strong people leadership skills with a proven ability to coach, develop, and retain talent
  • Experience with IT automation tools (e.g., Tines, BetterCloud, Zluri, or similar)
  • Experience managing endpoints and device lifecycle processes in a modern SaaS environment
  • Ability to manage distributed teams and collaborate effectively across regions and functions
If Any of the Below Also Describe You, This Could Be an Exciting Opportunity
  • Experience supporting or contributing to the transition from outsourced IT services to an in-house IT function
  • Experience building IT processes, workflows, and operational playbooks from the ground up
  • Strong interest in improving IT efficiency through automation and systems thinking
  • Familiarity with IT security best practices and access governance
  • Experience working in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment
  • Interest in journalism, media, or social platforms
In Addition, We're Always Looking for Candidates Who
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Take ownership of their work and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
  • Balance speed and quality when delivering operational and systems improvements
  • Approach problem solving with strong analytical thinking and sound judgment
  • Work collaboratively across teams and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Proactively incorporates AI tools into day-to-day work to improve productivity and accelerate delivery.
