About Wonderschool

Wonderschool is harnessing the power of technology to support child care providers operating from their homes as well as in government and nonprofit sectors. Our products enable providers to build high-quality programs, operate sustainable businesses, and connect families to accessible child care solutions. We partner directly with state and local governments to modernize child care infrastructure, improve access, and deliver measurable outcomes for families and communities nationwide.

About the Role

We are building our government sales team and are interested in connecting with experienced Government Account Executives across a range of levels. This is not an urgent or time-sensitive search. We are interviewing on a rolling basis and will move at a thoughtful pace, so please expect that we may be a bit slower to respond as we find the right fit.

This is an individual contributor role. You will report to a senior sales executive who oversees multiple territories. If you are more senior, there is room to take on additional territories and work directly with the CEO. We are open to hearing from candidates at different experience levels.

What You Will Do
  • Own full-cycle government sales within your territory
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder, 12+ month sales cycles
  • Build relationships with legislators, agency leaders, and executive administration stakeholders
  • Develop territory strategies aligned to legislative, budget, and election cycles
  • Lead RFP responses and procurement processes
  • Travel approximately 40% of the time, as relationships are the core of this work and being in the room matters
What We Are Looking For
  • Experience selling to state governments and an understanding of how state agencies buy, budget, and make decisions
  • A demonstrated track record of closing deals in complex B2G or enterprise environments
  • The ability to operate independently and own your pipeline from first contact through close
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, RFP cycles, and legislative dynamics
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to align value propositions to political and programmatic priorities
  • CRM discipline and forecasting rigor
Compensation
  • Base salary: $100,000 to $200,000, varies by level and scope
  • Performance-based commission
  • Stock options
Benefits
  • Health coverage (up to 100% for employee premiums, up to 80% for dependents)
  • WiFi and wellness stipends
  • Flexible PTO, paid holidays, and mental wellness days
  • Parental leave (eligible after 6 months)
