Position Summary:

The Government and Program Development Manger’s main responsibility are to develop and underwrite government tenders and to develop new and maintain current HCM programs. The Government and Program Development Manger will have the Senior Product Manager report directly to them to assure the proper implementation of new and current programs. This individual is required to provide critical support to the Sales team and understand the market needs to determine which programs we would like to develop. The Government and Program Development Manger will work to increase the program pricing accuracy by assisting in data analytic reviews and comparing actual JSSI cost with projected costs as well as assist in developing the annual escalation increases for each airframe, engine, and apu models. The position is required to provide cross functional support for the Aircraft Underwriters with pricing, modeling, and projects as necessary. They will also need to produce and update SOP manuals as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop and underwrite government pricing by reviewing the tender, statement of work, and CLIN requirements
    • New program development utilizing the knowledge of the industry, market and competitive landscape.
    • Assist in developing annual escalation increases for each airframe, engine and apu model
    • Assist with cost analysis studies and research projects
    • Collect cost data from internal and external representatives, contractors, and vendors
    • Create cost models for cost estimating elements
    • Prepare cost reports and present findings to management
    • Utilize cost data to construct profitable pricing models
    • Maintain Master Price Lists in conjunction with JSSI Parts and Engines
    • Maintain the database used for airframe and engine rate calculations
    • Research cost comparisons – actual vs data base pricing
    • Provide technical support to support to the Client Services and Sales Staff with regards to inspection programs and rates
    • Research Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives as required
    • Ability to ensure a factual audit trail is established for all pricing efforts supporting contract proposals
    • Write SOP manuals as required

Desired Credentials:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (Aviation Related)
    • 5 years aviation technical experience
    • Knowledge of aviation industry
    • Knowledge of Government Pricing
    • Working knowledge of aircraft inspection requirements
    • Experience with maintenance planning and forecasting is a plus
    • Maintenance Controller experience a plus
    • Strong interpersonal and communications skills to deal with the public and aviation industry professionals
    • Ability to read and write technical manuals a plus
    • Clear understanding of relevant technical skills
    • Proficient in Excel

For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $135,000 to $145,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience. In addition, your total rewards package may include an annual discretionary bonus plan, incentive or sales bonus plan, or other form of additional compensation, based on your role.
