Job Description:

Dimensional is a data-driven company known for bringing the great ideas from academic research to life for investors. The Graphic Designer synthesizes complex financial concepts and creates impactful layouts and graphics across the firm’s websites, slides, videos, social media posts, and other communications.

Working closely with subject matter experts to conceptualize ideas, the Graphic Designer will apply design thinking and gestalt principles to create clear, engaging visuals that communicate our research findings and educate prospects and clients on key investing principles. We are looking for someone with the ability to work creatively within a corporate brand and a fast-paced environment who knows how to connect creative solutions to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with stakeholders in our sales and investments teams to understand our content and translate data into clear and compelling charts and graphics for a wide range of mediums and audiences.
  • Collaborate closely across an integrated Marketing department and with other members of the Creative team to develop social media visuals data visualizations and other graphic elements to illustrate complex concepts
  • Create multimedia, immersive storytelling experiences for our blog using video, motion graphics, and interactive data visualizations to complement the narrative

Competencies Required:

  • Ability to translate and simplify complex data through information graphics and charts
  • Ability to create digital designs and mockups that closely adhere to web design principles and UI/UX best practices
  • Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign)
  • Proficiency in preparing files for print runs and digital use
  • Proficiency in using AI and understanding of prompting best practices to edit and generate images (Adobe Firefly)
  • Ability to story board for animation
  • Knowledge of front-end development and content management systems a plus
  • Ability to work on both a Mac and a PC for a variety of media
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative iterating to solve creative problems
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take both broad and narrow direction from Design Directors
  • Highly organized and results-oriented
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Background in financial services industry or other intangibles a plus

Educational Background and Experience:

Bachelor’s in graphic design or a related field

Relevant Years of Experience:

One to five years of design experience in media, at an agency, or in-house with a focus on data visualization
