Own and scale Poppy's paid acquisition on Meta: create and optimize cold ads, run end-to-end funnels and landing pages, protect unit economics, and hit aggressive revenue targets through rapid testing, creative production, and backend upsells.
The summary above was generated by AI

I want your help to grow our clients' revenue by another $100M — and I can't do that without cracking cold ads.

Poppy already helps content creators, founders, agencies, and marketers make viral content and ads with AI. They use it to grow their businesses. Our mission is to help 1,000 of them become millionaires and turn Poppy into a $1B company by 2035.

Marketing is how we get there. And right now, marketing is the bottleneck. That's why hiring you is the #1 priority of the entire company.* Not "a" priority. The priority.

Where We Are Today

Two years ago, Naz and I were almost bankrupt. We'd quit everything — Naz his software agency, me my YouTube business (Clever Programmer, 1.3M subscribers, $5M+ in revenue, helped thousands land jobs at Meta, Google, Amazon, Netflix). We even broke up with our girlfriends, moved to San Francisco together, and risked it all on Poppy.

For months we made $500/month. We were two months from sleeping in our parents' basements.

Then we cracked affiliates, built a sales team, and boom — the company exploded.

Today, Poppy has:

* 11,000+ paying customers

* $300K–$500K/mo in revenue

* 4.9 stars on Trustpilot (355 reviews)

* 1,200+ additional reviews on Senja

* 20+ recorded case studies

* Customers at Meta, Notion, Speechify, Amazon, Harvard, Google, MIT

* Loved by Vanessa Lau, Ali Abdaal's team, Alex Hormozi's team, Dan Martell's team

* Zero outside funding. 100% bootstrapped. 18-person team.

But we've been plateaued at this revenue level for almost a year. I need the next big bet.

My Experience in Marketing

I'm not new to this. I've been operating in online marketing for almost a decade.

Before Poppy, I grew Clever Programmer to 1.3M subscribers and $5M+ in revenue — helping thousands of people land jobs at FAANG companies. Naz ran a successful software agency. We've made our share of bets at Poppy, and the ones that worked, worked huge:

* The affiliates bet. Built a network from scratch that now drives a couple hundred thousand dollars a month.

* The sales team bet. Built a closer + setter team that books calls and runs upsells — agency plans, power user plans, $10K–$15K Viral Content System — adding a few hundred thousand more per month.

* The cold ads bet. We've spent ~$24K on Meta in the past two months. It's working a little. But we're not world-class ad operators. This is the bet I need you to crack.

If we crack cold ads the way we cracked the first two bets, we add $10M–$20M in revenue to this company in the next 12 months.

Why This Role Matters

This is the bet that breaks us out of the plateau and gets us closer to the $1B vision.

You'll own the entire paid acquisition stack — Meta ads, funnels, landing pages, offers, copy, backend economics — and turn it into a profitable, scalable engine.

Your number: $500K/month in new revenue from cold Meta ads at 3x+ LTV:CAC, within 6 months.

You'll execute three core areas:

1. Meta Ads (Your Superpower). You've personally managed $1M+/month in Meta ad spend with profitable ROAS. You install that superpower at Poppy from day one. You'll have access to thousands of recorded case studies, hundreds of proven affiliate videos, and founder content already converting — infinite creative ammunition. You're not starting from scratch. You're unleashing what's already here.

2. Full-Stack Funnels. You own two parallel funnels end-to-end:

* Front-end: $400/year Poppy plan → backend upsells. Target: $100K–$200K/mo.

* Agency funnel: Call-booking funnel selling Poppy at $5K–$10K/year. Target: $300K–$400K/mo.

Break-even on the front is fine if the backend math delivers 3x LTV:CAC.

3. Growth Lead. You set weekly targets. You kill losing ads fast. You double down on winners. You protect unit economics at scale. You make me and Naz fully exit ads ops. That's the win.

What You'll Learn

This isn't a job. It's an apprenticeship at the frontier of AI-native marketing, alongside two founders who'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with you.

How to scale a SaaS company toward $1B in enterprise value. Most marketing roles are at info-product or e-com companies with zero enterprise value. Poppy is approaching a $100M valuation. If you stay 1–5 years, you could personally add $100M+ in enterprise value here. That makes you one of the most valuable marketers in the market.

AI-native marketing at the frontier. You'll operate at the absolute edge of what's possible with AI.

Use the product to sell the product. At most companies you market a product you don't use. At Poppy, you'll use Poppy to write your ads, scripts, and copy — to sell Poppy. Your creative workflow gets 10x faster. This loop doesn't exist at almost any other company.

How to hire elite talent and build elite culture. We obsess over this. You'll learn how we filter, how we move fast, how we fire, and how we keep rockstars.

How to become a content creator. Poppy is content-first. Ads need creative. You'll likely make content yourself, and we'll teach you how.

Sprints in mansions around the world. We're based in Los Angeles — that's home base. But we run in-person sprints all over the world. We've done sprints in Thailand, Barcelona, and more. The team flies in, lives together, and ships absurd amounts of work. You'll be there.

Who We Are

Poppy is a fast-moving, bootstrapped AI company headquartered in Los Angeles. We don't value tradition. We value innovation, speed, proof over promise, and measurable success.

* Speed is king. "Right now" or "in 15 minutes" are the only right answers.

* Proof > promise. Show us. Don't tell us.

* Lead, follow, or get out of the way. Bring solutions, not problems.

* You're both the janitor and the CEO. No task is beneath you. Entitlement is the #1 reason we fire people.

* Radical transparency. No passive aggression. No thumbs-up emoji. Disagree out loud.

* Revenue contribution. You track the revenue you produce. Always.

* High agency. Don't wait for validation. Move.

* Health matters. Lean team, lean operators.

* High energy. Costs nothing. Changes everything.

We work 6–7 days a week. Cameras on in every meeting. No emails. We respond within 15 minutes during work hours, within 2 hours off. We're building a billion-dollar company without outside funding. This isn't for everyone, and that's okay.

Compensation & Logistics

* Base salary: $150K–$300K (based on track record)

* Performance bonus: Tied to monthly revenue staircase AND 3x+ LTV:CAC. Miss LTV:CAC → no bonus that month. Uncapped upside above target.

* Equity: Available after 6–12 months of proven performance

* **Location:** Los Angeles preferred — this is where we're based and where the core team operates. Remote OK for the right person. Required attendance at in-person sprints (LA + global locations like Thailand, Barcelona, and wherever we run them next).

* Commitment: Full-time. All in.

Austin’s tech scene spans many verticals, but it’s particularly known for hardware, including semiconductors, as well as AI, biotechnology and cloud computing. And its food and music scene, low taxes and favorable climate has made the city a destination for tech workers from across the country.

Key Facts About Austin Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 180,500; 13.7% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Dell, IBM, AMD, Apple, Alphabet
