ABOUT RETELL AI

Retell AI is using first principles to reimagine the call center with cutting-edge voice AI.

Thousands of companies now utilize Retell’s AI voice agents to handle sales, support, and logistics calls that once required large teams of human agents. Backed by Y Combinator, Alt Capital, and other leading investors, we have scaled to $60M ARR with a team of 40 people, up from $5M at the start of 2025.

Our vision for 2026 is to build a modern CX platform where entire contact centers are powered by AI. Instead of basic automation that needs constant human tuning, we’re creating intelligent AI “workers” that can act as frontline agents, QA analysts, and managers continuously executing, monitoring, and improving customer interactions.

We’re growing quickly and looking for ambitious builders who want to tackle hard technical problems, move fast, and have real impact at one of the fastest-growing voice AI startups.

Let’s build the future together.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Marketing Intern who wants to learn how startup marketing actually works.

This isn't the type of internship where you'll spend your summer making slide decks or sitting in meetings. You'll work directly with our marketing and leadership teams on real projects that help drive company growth.

You'll get exposure to a wide range of marketing functions and have the opportunity to figure out what you enjoy most whether that's content, growth, product marketing, events, social media, community building, or something else entirely.

If you're curious, creative, and excited about AI, you'll have the chance to make a real impact while learning how one of the fastest-growing startups operates from the inside.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
  • Creating content for LinkedIn, blogs, newsletters, and other channels

  • Supporting product launches and marketing campaigns

  • Researching competitors, customers, and market trends

  • Helping build and execute SEO initiatives

  • Assisting with events, conferences, and community programs

  • Developing customer stories, case studies, and testimonials

  • Supporting recruiting and employer branding efforts

  • Experimenting with growth and demand generation projects

  • Working on special projects directly with company leadership

No two weeks will look exactly the same.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate

  • Located in the Bay Area and able to work onsite in Redwood City

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Interested in marketing, startups, technology, AI, or business

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Comfortable taking ownership and figuring things out independently

  • Excited to learn, ask questions, and move quickly

You do not need years of marketing experience. We're looking for smart, motivated people who are eager to learn and contribute.

BONUS POINTS
  • Experience creating content for social media, blogs, newsletters, or websites

  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, HubSpot, Notion, Clay, or ChatGPT

  • Experience running a club, side project, newsletter, podcast, or small business

  • Interest in AI and emerging technologies

WHY JOIN RETELL?
  • Work directly with founders and company leaders

  • Learn how marketing operates inside a high-growth startup

  • Gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of marketing

  • Build a portfolio of real projects and measurable results

  • Join a company growing at an exceptional pace

  • Opportunity for a full-time role after graduation based on performance

If you're excited about startups, AI, and learning by doing, we'd love to hear from you.

We're hiring immediately and reviewing applications on a rolling basis.
