We work cross-functionally with product, data, and operations to experiment, learn, and scale what works—always anchored in performance, storytelling, and customer outcomes. If you thrive in a team that values initiative, creativity, and results, you’ll feel right at home.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Paid Search/Digital Advertising Specialist to join our Growth Marketing team and help scale our paid media performance across Google and Microsoft Ads. This role will be responsible for hands-on campaign management, optimization, and creative iteration across multiple campaign types — including Performance Max, Demand Gen, and Audience campaigns — to reach new customers efficiently and effectively.

You’ll work closely with the Sr. Growth Marketing Manager to experiment, adapt, and drive results in a rapidly evolving ad landscape increasingly powered by AI-driven automation, video, and visual-first creative.

Why contract to hire?

The contract phase is a chance for both sides to see if we’re the right match. You’ll get a front-row seat to how we operate – high ownership, high impact, and high expectations – and you’ll know very quickly whether this is an environment where you’ll thrive. If it is, the path to becoming a permanent member will take no longer than a few months, and you’ll be joining a team that’s redefining what marketers can do for a business.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and optimize Google Ads and Microsoft Ads accounts across Performance Max, Search, Display, Video, and Demand Gen campaign types.
  • Develop and implement AI-informed bidding strategies, creative testing frameworks, and audience segmentation approaches.
  • Collaborate with the design and content teams to produce video and image-rich ad creative, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and performance insights.
  • Analyze campaign performance, identify growth opportunities, and report actionable insights to the Sr. Growth Marketing Manager.
  • Stay ahead of evolving AI features, automation tools, and platform changes (e.g., Demand Gen campaigns, AI creative generation, Smart Bidding, etc.).
  • Test and scale new creative formats and audience combinations across Google and Microsoft ecosystems.
  • Partner with analytics and data teams to ensure accurate tracking, attribution, and reporting across all campaigns.
  • Contribute to broader growth initiatives across marketing channels and help Ownwell stay on the cutting edge of paid media innovation.
Requirements:
  • 1–3 years of experience managing paid search or paid media campaigns (agency or in-house).
  • Proficiency in Google Ads (Search, Display, Video, and Performance Max).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Ads and an understanding of cross-channel strategy.
  • Experience using AI-powered campaign types, such as Performance Max or Demand Gen, and comfort adapting to automation tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau, Excel, or similar reporting tools.
  • A creative mindset with an understanding of how visual content (video, image, UGC) impacts campaign performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, growth-oriented attitude.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Google Ads or Microsoft Ads certifications.
  • Experience with creative tools (Canva, Figma, or similar).
  • Familiarity with property tech, financial services, or similar consumer-facing industries.
  • Understanding of conversion tracking setup and pixel management.
