Why This Role is Different

If you’ve ever wanted to see exactly how a startup scales from the inside-and play a direct role in making it happen-this is it.

You’ll work as the founder’s right hand, taking on high-impact projects across growth, operations, automation, recruiting, and events. You’ll have a seat at the table for key strategic decisions and be trusted to take fuzzy, ambiguous ideas and turn them into executed reality.

This isn’t a narrow or repetitive role. One week you might be running a scrappy GTM campaign; the next, building an internal automation or hosting an industry dinner.

If you thrive on variety, autonomy, and being dropped into complex challenges with little more than “make it happen,” you’ll fit right in.

Career Path

For the right person, this role can evolve into Head of Ops, Head of Growth, or Chief of Staff.

About Valid

Founded in July 2023, Valid is a seed-stage company operating at Series A scale, headquartered in San Francisco.

In under two years, we’ve grown from 5 people to 40+, deployed over $1B in ad spend, and built a full-stack, tech-enabled advertising company serving enterprise consumer customers.

We’re well-capitalized and backed by top Silicon Valley investors including Canaan, Neo, and others.

The Role

This is a founder’s right-hand position - part business operations, part growth, part special projects. You’ll touch almost every part of the company:

Growth & GTM (40%)

  • App Marketing content (LinkedIn, email, Twitter, etc)

  • Ad Campaigns & outbound (LinkedIn, email)

  • Hosting events

Operations & Automation (30%)

  • Product-Agency integration/collaboration

  • Identify bottlenecks across the company, design processes, and install tools to fix them.

  • Build internal automations (Zapier, n8n, Airtable, etc.) to scale our workflows.

Applied AI (15%)

  • Stay up to date on the latest in AI, push the company to lean into the latest tooling wherever possible.

Recruiting & Partnerships (15%)

  • Source and close high-impact hires.

  • Develop partnerships that open new growth channels.

Required Qualifications
  • Significant exposure to startups and early stage companies.

  • You’ll be talking to and selling directly to early-stage founders.

  • Track record of independently taking projects from 0 → 1

  • Comfortable with automation tools and “vibe coding” platforms.

Preferred Qualifications
  • VC associate / Analyst - Understand markets, GTM, and startup pace

  • Former founder or early stage employee

  • Experience planning and running events or community initiatives.

  • Comfort with light technical tasks (APIs, no-code tools).

You’re Probably a Good Fit If:
  • You thrive in high-ambiguity, high-autonomy environments.

  • You get energy from learning new skills quickly and applying them immediately.

  • You’re equally comfortable talking to a founder, an engineer, and a customer in the same day.

  • The idea of organized chaos resonates with your working style:

  • Organized: Clear processes, efficient workflows, and effective communication

  • Chaos: A willingness to iterate quickly and embrace change to stay ahead

What You’ll Be Getting
  • Work directly with the founder in a high-leverage role touching every part of the business.

  • Master distribution Valid is a company effectively selling distribution. You will learn about growth and distribution via paid ads from the very best in the space.

  • Work on a global team with flexibility and a collaborative startup culture

Compensation
  • Competitive salary based on experience and location

  • Meaningful equity ownership in a early, high growth business

  • Benefits: 401k, healthcare, FSA, lunch (for in-person days)

  • Location: In-person, San Francisco
