Why AssemblyAI

AssemblyAI builds the best-in-class Voice AI models powering the next generation of voice applications. Our models serve 600M+ inference calls monthly, process 1M+ hours of audio daily, and power 2 billion+ end-user experiences. The Voice AI space is at an inflection point; we’re looking for folks truly excited to join a small team and help define the future of the industry.

We are one of the most capital-efficient AI companies on the planet - with under 100 people generating roughly $600K ARR per employee, we sit among the top 5 most revenue-dense teams within the fastest-growing AI companies today. That's not an accident; it's a deliberate choice to stay lean, move fast, and give every person on the team outsized ownership and impact. With thousands of customers including Granola, Fireflies, Figure AI, and CallRail, the company has real scale - processing over 2 million hours of audio daily and handling more than 1 million API calls every day. This is a rare growth-stage opportunity where the business is proven and the trajectory is steep, but the team is still small enough that your fingerprints are on everything.

If you've ever felt buried under layers of bureaucracy, starved of real ownership, or frustrated watching your work disappear into a slow-moving org, AssemblyAI is built differently. The company operates as a true meritocracy, with no heavy planning or approval processes and no gatekeeping on the tools or information you need. For anyone who genuinely cares about voice AI, not as a trend to chase, but as a technology to build,  this is the place where the most interesting problems at the most interesting scale are being solved by a team small enough that you'll actually know everyone's name.

We’re committed to creating a space where our employees can bring their full selves to work and have equal opportunity to succeed. No matter your race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, origin, ability, age, veteran status, if joining this mission speaks to you, we encourage you to apply!

About the role:

AssemblyAI is building the leading Voice AI infrastructure platform, and our go-to-market team is growing fast. We’re looking for a GTM Recruiter to help us hire the Account Executives, BDRs, Customer Success, Forward Deployed Engineers, and Marketers who bring our models to developers and enterprises around the world.

You’ll own a portfolio of GTM reqs from first conversation to signed offer, working closely with our GTM Recruiting Lead and hiring managers across Sales, Customer Solutions, and Marketing. It’s a high-volume, high-bar role: we’re hiring a lot of people, and every one of them needs to be great.

AI is one of the most competitive talent markets in tech. Great GTM people have a lot of options, and many of them aren’t actively looking. This role is about finding them, starting real conversations, and showing them why AssemblyAI is worth the move.

What You’ll Do
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for 5-6 open GTM roles at a time, from intake and sourcing through offer and close
  • Source proactively through LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, referrals, communities, events, and AI-assisted tools
  • Leverage modern AI tools to accelerate market research, craft tailored candidate messaging, and optimize workflow velocity
  • Run Zoom screens that assess for what matters in each role (pipeline generation, technical fluency, coachability) and share crisp, decision-ready feedback
  • Partner with hiring managers to calibrate profiles, run interview loops in Greenhouse, and keep decisions moving
  • Manage offers end to end, including OTE and commission conversations, competing offers, and closing
  • Keep Greenhouse clean and current so the team can trust the funnel data
  • Deliver a candidate experience people talk about — fast, transparent, and human, whether or not they join
  • You’ll thrive here if you enjoy building, move quickly, and like finding creative ways to solve hard hiring problems.
What You’ll Need
  • 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting, with significant experience hiring GTM roles (sales, customer success, marketing) at B2B SaaS, API, or developer-tools companies, ideally at a high-growth startup
  • A track record of hiring at volume (25+ GTM hires a year) across levels, from SDR to senior AE
  • Strong passive sourcing skills: boolean search, creative channels, and comfort using AI tools to work faster
  • Curiosity about the AI landscape and a creative approach to reaching talent
  • Working knowledge of sales roles and comp (OTE, quota, ramp) and the ability to sell a role to sought-after candidates
  • Experience with Greenhouse (or a similar ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and a sourcing CRM like Juicebox
  • Organized and fast: you can run many processes in parallel without anyone falling through the cracks
  • Clear, warm communication and the ability to manage many searches at once
