The Hardware Integration and Verification Engineer will conduct unit-level, board-level and third-party hardware integration for the Space and Defense hardware team.  The role will require close collaboration with other engineering disciplines including electrical design, mechanical design, and low-level software development.  A diverse skill set is required which includes experience in functional integration, hardware requirements verification, safety and regulatory testing. 
 

Responsibilities

As part of the team, you will:

  • Work with Product Architects to define testable requirements that fully define the product hardware.
  • Have direct responsibility for hardware test plans that enable product verification.
  • Cooperate with electrical and mechanical designers and software team engineers to develop a well-considered holistic design.
  • Interact closely with design team members to document product faults and determine the root cause of the faults.
  • Provide weekly reporting of program status within release manager meetings and to management as required.
  • Compile all necessary evidence at P7 and P8 milestones to demonstrate HW design maturity and quality.
  • Champion the testing work needed to effort to successfully launch the product into production.
     
  • NOTE:  Due to the requirements of the National Security Agreement, only US Citizens and holders of a valid Green Card are eligible for this position.
     
Qualifications

You must have:

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.  Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years' experience in hardware IVT taking products to production.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of test automation tools to facilitate timely testing in conformance with specifications.
  • Knowledge of the MN Create process.
  • Customer and 3rd-party test lab relationship management experience.
  • Proficient communication (verbal, written) skills
