THE ROLE

Virtu's Hardware team builds custom FPGA solutions and infrastructure that power our competitive edge in ultra low latency trading. Our Hardware Platform Engineers are responsible for deploying, maintaining, and optimizing hardware platforms while developing software applications to control and monitor production systems. As a member of the team you will take a lead role in:

  • Testing and troubleshooting hardware equipment
  • Defining and implementing hardware platform deployment plans 
  • Developing and maintaining applications to control/monitor custom hardware platforms
  • Researching and evaluating hardware providers, features, and capabilities

THE CANDIDATE

  • Academic degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Extensive Python experience
  • Basic understanding of network protocols
  • Familiarity with modern computer systems and network architecture
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills

DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

  • Experience with real-time exchange market data and order entry systems
