About This Role
The Head of People will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Everlywell by leading our People team, strategy, and execution during an important period of growth. This leader will ensure operational excellence across the People function, including talent acquisition, people operations, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and total rewards. The Head of People will also play a central role in fostering a strong company culture and employee engagement, and will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and people managers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with company objectives and growth plans
- Partner with senior leadership to build workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning
- Coach Leaders around talent development and leadership topics
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, and systems ensuring compliance with labor laws and HR best practices
- Implement scalable processes for onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and HRIS tools
- Own key HR metrics and dashboards to provide insights and drive data-informed decisions
Talent Acquisition & Retention
- Ensure an efficient, streamlined, and engaging recruitment process for internal teams and candidates
- Drive engagement and retention strategies
Compensation & Benefits
- Oversee the design and administration of compensation structures and employee benefits
- Conduct compensation reviews to ensure pay equity and competitiveness in the market
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture that aligns with the company’s values and mission
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
Employee Relations
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on all employee relations matters
- Manage conflict resolution and address employee concerns promptly and effectively
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the People team, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to support the company’s objectives
- Lead a high-performing team that is agile, responsive, and aligned with business needs
Who You Are / Job Requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels
- Ten-plus years of progressive HR experience across different HR functions, preferably in high-growth technology companies
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree or HR certifications a plus
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance, HRIS systems, and analytics tools
This role is based in Austin, TX. We work in a hybrid-capacity - together in our office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, while working remotely/ from home on Mondays & Fridays.
