Overview

What You Will Do

Left Field Labs is partnering with illumend to find a Head of Revenue Operations. We are shifting our Revenue Operations from "outsourced maintenance" to "strategic competitive advantage." We are not looking for someone to just manage Salesforce tickets. We are looking for a Technical RevOps Leader who can architect a self-driving GTM engine.

You will effectively be a "Department of One" to start—strategic enough to sit in board meetings and define our retention strategy, but technical enough to open a code editor and build the automation that makes it happen.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the architect and implementor for illumend’s GTM engine by designing the end-to-end flow of a customer—from anonymous web visitor to lifelong advocate—ensuring no revenue leakage occurs in the handoffs between Marketing, Sales, and Success and Finance
  • Design the systems to rapidly scale a native AI, first mover product, built to disrupt an industry for our next phase of growth (e.g., shifting from SLG to a PLG hybrid, building a scalable awareness strategy to drive top of funnel for a $3.2B market, deploying AI agents to scale sales motions).
  • Proactively identify and implement the next generation of GTM tools including deploying Agentic AI for lead research, automated outreach, predictive forecasting, and real-time deal scoring
  • Partner with leadership to define pricing models, territory logic, and compensation structures that drive the right behaviors for a high-growth AI SaaS
  • Unify Sales, Marketing, CX and Finance into a single data narrative. You will own the "Truth" of our metrics (CAC, LTV, NRR, Pipeline Velocity).
  • Own the admin and architecture of HubSpot and other integrated systems, but also the glue between them. You will minimize "swivel chair" work for our reps.
  • If a native integration doesn’t exist or is too limited, you will write the script or build the webhook to make it happen.
  • You won’t just complain about bad data; you will build automated validation rules and enrichment waterfalls (Clearbit, ZoomInfo, Clay) to fix it automatically.
  • You will deploy AI agents to handle repetitive GTM tasks (e.g., AI SDRs for inbound qualification, automated CSM check-ins for low-touch accounts).
  • You will build internal tools for our reps (e.g., a "Deal Doctor" bot that analyzes Gong calls and Salesforce data to recommend the next best action).
  • You will use tools like n8n, Make.com, or Python to build workflows that our competitors don’t have.
Qualifications
  • Deep admin mastery of HubSpot. You know the difference between a flow and an apex trigger (and when to use which)
  • You are comfortable reading and modifying SQL and Python (or Javascript). You aren't afraid of a JSON payload
  • Master-level proficiency in tools like n8n, Make (formerly Integromat), or Zapier
  • Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic) into business workflows via API
  • You might have started in Engineering or Product and moved to Ops because you realized that revenue problems are actually just engineering problems
  • If you have to do a task three times, you write a script or build a workflow to do it for you
  • You don't just speak API; you speak ARR, NRR, and CAC. You understand that a perfect system is useless if it doesn't help a sales rep close a deal
  • This is not a "maintain the status quo" role. You are building IP and innovating GTM with AI
  • You own the architecture. As long as the data is accurate and the reps are happy, you choose the tools and the methods
Compensation

The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $200,000 and applies only to jobs performed in Culver City, California. This range represents the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Please note that we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
