About the Role

Atari is seeking an experienced and business-minded attorney to join our in-house legal team. This role focuses on managing negotiating licensing agreements that protect Atari’s IP while creating revenue for the business. The ideal candidate will have 4–6 years of experience at a top-tier corporate law firm, with a concentration in licensing, and commercial transactions with experience in video game or entertainment law areas of practice.

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will serve as the company's primary legal expert on commercial and licensing matters. You will work closely with our product, marketing, and business development teams to ensure Atari’s intellectual property is protected and leveraged in line with our brand values and commercial goals. 


What You'll Do

Licensing & Commercial Transactions 

  • Draft, review, and negotiate inbound and outbound licensing agreements for game development, co- branding, publishing, and digital media. 
  • Collaborate with Atari’s licensing team to structure deals that expand brand presence while safeguarding IP integrity. 
  • Advise on marketing and promotional campaigns involving Atari’s trademarks and copyrights. 

Corporate Legal Support 

  • Support governance, compliance, and other corporate legal matters. 
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal teams across global operations. 
  • Maintain and update standard contract templates and best practice guidelines. 

What We're Looking For

  • Law degree (J.D. or equivalent) and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction. 
  • 4–6 years of experience in a reputable corporate law firm, with a strong emphasis on commercial transactions and licensing. 
  • Proven experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements in the video game or entertainment industry
  • Expertise in the video game, entertainment, or consumer products industries strongly preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and internationally.
  • Passion for gaming, pop culture, and the Atari brand is a plus. 

Target Salary: $140k - $160k annually
