Job Description

Position Overview

  • We are seeking a HR Assistant to support our Korea HR operations. This role will play a critical part in delivering high-quality HR services across payroll management, employee life cycle processes, HR compliance, and daily HR operations. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Korean payroll, labor law compliance, and HR administration. The role requires strong attention to detail, a problem‑solving mindset, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, multinational environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Payroll & Compensation Administration

  • Oversee end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Korea employees in partnership with external payroll vendor.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, bonuses, allowances, deductions, overtime, and statutory payments.
  • Handle payroll-related reporting including tax filings, year-end settlement, and regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain accurate payroll data and ensure compliance with local tax, pension, health insurance, and employment insurance requirements.
  • Support annual compensation cycles including salary review & bonus cycles

HR Operations & Employee Life Cycle

  • Execute HR processes including onboarding, offboarding and employee data updates.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy
  • Support workforce planning, headcount tracking, and manpower reports.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, payroll, benefits, and internal processes.
  • Assist in managing employee relations issues with sensitivity and confidentiality, ensuring compliance with Korea labor law.
  • Support local employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and internal communications.

Compliance & HR Policy

  • Ensure alignment with Korea labor regulations and company policies.
  • Support HR audits and ensure proper documentation and filing.
  • Monitor labor law changes and proactively recommend policy updates.

HR Projects & Regional Collaboration

  • Participate in Korea and regional HR initiatives (UAT testing, benefits projects, culture programs, etc).
  • Support HR reporting to regional and global teams.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience with at least 1 years of hands-on payroll management in Korea.
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as HR Advisor
  • Strong understanding of Korean labor law and payroll statutory requirements.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • English proficiency for communication with regional stakeholders.
