Position Description

Applied Materials is actively recruiting for an HR Business Partner to support Global teams in Worldwide manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will have responsibility for core HR services delivery, to enable manager and team effectiveness, global consistency, and exceptional employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • The HRBP’s main responsibility is to strengthen business performance through culture, talent, engagement, and organizational strategies to include:
  • Partner closely with employees and leaders to enable organizational success
  • Be a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to employees and people managers, focused on building morale, increasing productivity and enabling development and retention.
  • Support consistent delivery of core HR programs/services: Talent Management (i.e. Objective Setting, Performance Evaluations, Promotions, Organizational Health, Talent Planning, Training), Global Rewards (i.e. focal), Culture of Inclusion, etc.
  • Proactively partner and collaborate across the global HR organization, share information, and provide thought leadership and a solution-oriented direction to optimize the business value of the HR function
  • Lead with data and analytics when executing major responsibilities, taking a proactive approach to using this data to further enhance business results
  • Seek ways to proactively improve organizational processes and implement solutions to drive the right outcomes.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources related field preferred
  • 10+ years of HR experience in a complex and matrixed enterprise especially in HRBP/HR Partnering roles with a track record of sustained impact in prior roles (demonstrated role stability; not a frequent job-mover)
  • Strong stakeholder management: proven ability to influence, challenge, and partner with senior leaders while building trust across functions.
  • Comfortable with all levels of the organization—from frontline teams to executive leadership; credible, approachable, and emotionally intelligent.
  • Change leadership: experience driving org changes (restructures, scaling, culture shifts) with clear communications and measured outcomes.
    Strong analytical expertise, very comfortable telling a story with data
  • Collaborative and ownership-driven: works cross‑functionally, anticipates issues, follows through, and delivers with minimal oversight.
  • Data‑informed decision-making uses people metrics (attrition, engagement, hiring funnel, HC) to diagnose, prioritize, and recommend actions.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
