Position Summary

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP) you'll be responsible for serving as a strategic HR partner collaborating closely with senior management to drive business objectives through effective HR practices.

Role and Responsibilities

Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:

In this role, you'll be responsible for the following areas:

  • Strategic Alignment: Works with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and culture. 

  • Talent and Leadership: Manages key talent acquisition, development, and succession planning to ensure the organization has the right leaders and workforce. 

  • Employee Engagement: Fosters a positive work environment, addresses employee concerns, and drives engagement and retention initiatives. 

  • Organizational Change: Leads organizational development efforts, including change management, cultural assessments, and process improvements. 

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilizes HR metrics and analytics to inform strategies, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement. 

  • Compliance and Policy: Ensures HR policies and procedures are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and effectively communicated. 

  • Business Consultation: Provides expert HR advice to senior leaders, understands the business landscape, and drives results through strategic HR initiatives. 
     

In essence, as an HRBP, you'll act as a trusted advisor, bridging the gap between HR and business, and ensuring that HR strategies and initiatives drive organizational success and growth.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development is often preferred.

Years of Work Experience: Typically, 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior HR role or as an HR Business Partner. Experience working in a similar industry or with a similar company size is beneficial.

Certifications: Professional HR certification, such as: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional) HR Certification Institute (HRCI) certifications Other relevant HR certifications

Key experience needed:

  • Strategic Thinking and Business Acumen: Ability to understand and align HR strategies with business objectives. Strong business sense and knowledge. Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive organizational success.

  • Leadership and Consultation Skills: Excellent consultation skills to provide guidance to senior leaders and managers. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects.

  • Advanced HR Knowledge and Expertise: Deep understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures. Expertise in areas such as talent management, employee relations, organizational development, and HR metrics. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Data Analysis and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to interpret HR data and metrics. Ability to use data-driven insights to inform HR strategies and decisions. Proven problem-solving skills to address complex HR challenges. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to influence and drive change through effective communication and collaboration.

The current base salary range for this role is between $57,760 - $156,950. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.

At Samsung SAS, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package. The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
