As our business continues to evolve, we are looking for an HR Generalist, People Operations who will play a critical role in ensuring our people processes run smoothly and consistently. Reporting to and supporting the Senior Director of HR, this role is essential to maintaining operational excellence across the employee lifecycle - from onboarding and performance management to payroll coordination and day-to-day manager support. 

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being in the details, solving problems in real time, and serving as a trusted resource for employees and managers alike. You will help ensure that our HR operations are organized, compliant, and responsive - enabling our teams to focus on delivering exceptional work for our clients.

While this role is hybrid, it is based in the New York tri-state area and requires candidates to be in office 2-3 days per week. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the Senior Director of HR in executing core HR initiatives and managing day-to-day operations
  • Serve as a first point of contact for managers and employees on HR-related questions, policies, and processes
  • Assist in managing employee relations matters, including gathering information, supporting investigations, and helping implement fair and compliant solutions
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting cycles, documentation, performance conversations, and improvement plans
  • Provide hands-on support to managers in navigating people challenges, escalating complex matters as needed
  • Partner with our Payroll Lead and Central Payroll team on payroll matters, ensuring accurate data submission, timely processing, and resolution of employee inquiries
  • Support annual open enrollment, assist employees with benefits-related questions, and help resolve issues in partnership with external vendors as needed
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and employee records, ensuring data accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience
  • Support internal trainings, communications, and broader HR projects such as policy updates and process improvements

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a creative, tech, or fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting HR operations
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with a service-oriented mindset
  • Working knowledge of employment law and employee relations best practices
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment
  • 2-3 days per week in our NYC office

The target range of base compensation for this role is $85,000 - $100,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
