Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Leave Coordinator to join our HR team. This role is responsible for coordinating all aspects of leave of absence programs across the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, maintain accurate records, and deliver an exceptional team member experience throughout the leave process.

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage leaves of absence including FMLA, ADA, disability, and company leave policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for team members and managers regarding leave processes and requirements.
  • Handle intake, documentation, approvals, and communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Maintain and update leave administration systems and ensure accurate tracking of all leave cases.
  • Calculate supplemental pay in coordination with short-term disability and state programs; collaborate with Payroll to ensure accuracy.
  • Review and process required paperwork for compliance and accuracy.
  • Monitor FMLA eligibility, correspondence, and determinations; track intermittent and unpaid leave usage.
  • Stay current on federal and state regulations (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ERISA) and ensure compliance.
  • Support process improvements for efficient leave administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all employee medical and personal information.
  • Assist with HR projects and provide support to HR Operations when leave volume is low.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience administering leaves of absence or related HR functions. 
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state/local leave laws- Preferred 
  • Experience in a multi-state organization; familiarity with leave administration software (UKG preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Certification in leave management or benefits administration is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
