We are seeking an HR Director to join our Zello team. Our People team enables Zello’s continued success by hiring great people, helping them grow, rewarding them, and building a healthy and productive workplace. As the head of all things people-related, you will use your analytical skills with your people skills to lead all facets of HR at Zello. The ideal candidate is energized by the opportunity to enhance our existing HR team and help us reach new heights as we scale as a company.
You will work closely with a variety of teams across the company to combine the power of our people with our business strategy, leading to an exceptional employee experience. Your ability to flex between influencing strategically and having the detail-oriented discipline to drive all operational aspects of HR is your sweet spot.
What Success Looks Like:
- Create a data-driven approach with an HR dashboard that allows you to influence the executive team and managers with key metrics to accelerate Zello’s key initiatives
- Develop and execute a talent strategy to attract, develop, and retain world class talent
- Drive operational and organizational effectiveness with well run HR & Payroll programs supporting hiring, performance management, employee development, and competitive reward practices
In this role, you will:
- Create and implement people-centric strategies, processes, and systems throughout the organization to build and maintain culture across our team, regardless of location
- Leverage recruiting to grow the company with a high talent bar and a robust talent strategy, clarifying hiring objectives, and determining effective operational and reporting practices
- Ensure that our total rewards program drives critical business performance
- Build partnerships with internal clients through high-quality advice and direction to craft internal best practices, including change management, that empower our employees to do the best work of their lives
- Provide organizational development guidance and training that enables management effectiveness and drives high organizational performance
- Contribute as a cultural champion to make the values an integral part of Zello’s culture while enabling an inclusive workplace
- Lead and actively participate in employee relations
- Execute semi-monthly global payroll via HRIS, Namely, and partner with the Finance team to establish new state and country entities required to scale the company
- Develop and build consistent HR processes & policies that support corporate functions and comply with local law practices and corporate requirements
Your experience will ideally include:
- Passion for our mission and for building a strategic HR function at a startup
- A collaborative and data-driven mindset with the ability to develop strong and influential business relationships
- Strong communication, listening, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict management skills and experience making both operational and strategic HR decisions
- Comfort challenging the status quo with an emphasis on delivering results in a dynamic environment
- Proven capability guiding an organization through periods of change
- Experience aligning HR strategy and business needs for measurable impact
- Demonstrated effective organizational development abilities such as coaching, org design, career development, and training
- Responsible for HR system configuration and manually coordinating across multiple suppliers and systems.
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in HR, including 3+ years as a people manager
- University degree in a related field is nice to have
