Learning and Development Program Manager
The Role:

You will build this learning and development program from the ground up and champion all training and development initiatives across the company. Programs will range from new employee orientation to sales training to customer onboarding to leadership development. You will create new, high-quality training materials, build knowledge validation exercises, and more. You will work with managers and domain experts across the company to identify areas for improvement and build the learning plans and materials necessary to realize those improvements. Initially you will be the sole L&D team member.

What you will do:
Assess the current learning needs of our teams, build strategies based on information gathered, and execute on those strategies.
Consult with the business to understand their perspectives of learning and development needs and determine what gaps need to be addressed
Create a feedback framework for managers to review and share feedback for sales, customer success and monitoring center phone calls
Create role-specific training for teams that reduces the time for new employees to become productive (customer success and sales)
Update New Employee Orientation to make more engaging and informative
Assist with creating best practices and traits of top sales performers and share across the entire team
Develop both self-paced e-learning and instructor-led training
Review and recommend outside training resources for internal utilization
Design curriculum and build programs from strategy to final product
Develop communication and roll out strategy plan for new initiatives.
Evaluate Training Program Effectiveness
Conduct research to capture additional perspectives/context and to clarify scope of identified learning and development needs.
Propose potential solutions to address learning needs, considering both training and non-training options that would support transfer of learning.
Measures transfer of learning from training courses back to the business.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience designing and developing training curriculum in a fast-paced environment experiencing exponential growth
Experience working cross-functionally with Subject Matter Experts; partnering across an organization to support training needs
Experience as a Blended Learning Architect - Instructor Led Training (ILT), Computer Based Training (CBT), and Webinar Training
You must be comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities, and capable of delivering value with minimal supervision.
You must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail. Courses must be intuitive, simple, and high-quality.
Critical thinking. You must understand the end goal of a learning module and design courses that get learners to the end goal as quickly and effectively as possible, focusing on retention and adoption of first principles.
Creativity. You will need to use non-incremental, original thinking to create learning plans that are effective and scalable, while not requiring unsustainable amounts of time from learners or stakeholders.
