Senior Compensation Analyst
The Senior Compensation Analyst will provide analytical support and project leadership to the administration of compensation programs, the development and implementation of tools and materials, and ensuring our programs are aligned with the organization’s pay for performance philosophy. Responsible for the analysis, administration and implementation of all annual programs to include the annual merit process, broad-based compensation, as well as short and long-term cash incentive plans. Work with HRIS and Payroll to support the annual processes and payouts. Prepares complex/detailed analyses to assess the effectiveness of reward programs.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serves as an internal consultant to HR Business Partners and department managers related to job classifications, pay ranges, current compensation policies and procedures
- Assist in the communication materials around general comp guidelines, as required
- Ability to influence leadership level positions and also use flexibility to determine how to best meet business needs within business or compliance constraints
- Maintain job description library
- Perform market pricing of benchmark jobs and assist with survey submissions to help identify emerging trends
- Conduct FLSA review of new positions and/or those requiring review
- Ability to be a good team player (internally & externally to HR), proactive partner with business leaders
- Ability to interact at all levels within the organization
Requirements:
- 5+ years solid compensation experience
- Proven experience in the design, implementation and use of compensation tools and technology
- Strong knowledge of compensation terminology and practices
- Excellent skills in problem solving and ability
- Ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with appropriate partners across all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Collaborative work style with a focus on providing exceptional service to all clients
- Ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities
- Self-driven and strategic in thought processes to draft recommendations and conclusions after analyzing data
- Must have the ability to understand inter-dependencies of compensation and reward programs
- Working knowledge of HR principles and best practices
- Must have expert Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid knowledge of job evaluation procedures and FLSA
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Technology proficient to support implementation and ongoing involvement in new platforms
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
