Job Description

We are looking for a Sr. Trainer to deliver, organize, implement, and evaluate learning programs as part of our Procore.org Industry Advancement initiative. Serving a team focused on elevating workforce development programs, you’ll have a direct impact on upleveling Union instructors/members, University Professors, Minority Contractors, and other construction professionals seeking to increase tech literacy in construction.

You’ll work in conjunction with our social impact specialists and Industry Managers to source and deliver product training in new and creative ways. You’ll develop surveys designed to measure the impact of these training programs, setting goals to measure your effectiveness and overall impact. Your passion and enthusiasm to improve the construction industry are wanted!

This position will report to our Director of Industry Advancement and can be a remote position, or based out of our Austin, TA, or Carpinteria CA office. Candidates will be considered based on relevant industry experience and availability to accommodate up to 75% travel. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver Procore product training to Union instructors, Union members, Minority Contractors and other construction professionals

  • Design and implement creative, effective, and scalable Procore product learning programs that develop and engage construction professionals of all levels with a specific emphasis on construction knowledge and Procore Product skills

  • Conduct interactive training sessions in person and via Zoom, measuring impact through goal setting and surveys

  • Speak at events as needed to promote the training program

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on fundamentals of construction management and the Procore platform

  • Conduct needs assessments with social impact specialist to deliver strategic developmental opportunities through training

  • Create internal feedback loop with Social Impact Specialists, the Construction Education team and Strategic Product Consultants to improve overall program effectiveness and share best practices.

  • Report on training program monthly/quarterly/annually with projections for demand in the year ahead

  • Be an empathic storyteller able to break down complex technical concepts into digestible step-by-step instructions

  • Relevant industry experience to deliver training in context of real project scenarios (Residential/Industrial/Commercial)

  • Be a force multiplier, increasing digital literacy through Procore product training

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience

  • 10+ years of relevant construction industry experience in BIM, Project Management or onsite tech training

  • 2+ years of relevant teaching experience 

  • Comfortable and capable leading groups of 30+ in a training environment

  • Strong in-person, email, phone, and web conferencing (Zoom) presentation skills 

  • Strong communication skills that support translating construction-speak to non-construction professionals

  • Strong demonstrable skills in MS Excel/Google Sheets and PPT/Google Slides are a must

  • Analytical solutionist

  • Overall excitement about the world of construction and construction technology and the opportunities that exist to improve and streamline its processes

  • Proficiency in Procore platform is preferred but not required; Additional knowledge of industry software a plus

Location

Procore Austin is the second largest of our offices, occupying six floors in the Chase Tower at the center of downtown Austin.
