Amherst is searching for a Talent Development Manager to design, deliver, and execute programs and policies that will support professional growth and development. As the Talent Development Manager, you will help create and develop talent solutions that are both applicable across the Amherst population as well as specific to certain businesses and job levels. You will bring innovative talent solutions to maximize the efficiency of our programs as we grow and scale. This role reports to the Director of Learning & Growth.
Collaborate with HR Business Partners and key internal stakeholders to proactively identify talent needs that will support employee growth and development.
Develop, design, and manage High Potential programs, leveraging best practices and tracking program outcomes.
Partner with the broader HR team and internal stakeholders to define and execute our D&I strategy.
Design and implement succession management, talent reviews, and related talent development programs, processes, and recommended actions.
Analyze and interpret assessment data to inform talent and development strategies.
Provide organizational development expertise and capabilities, as well as executive coaching and team-building activities.
Create career pathways for each business, partnering with the learning team, to define learning and development paths.
Coach and mentor junior team members.
7+ years of experience working in Human Resources; with 3+ years of experience in Talent Development, Organization Development, or Leadership Development.
Experience delivering and scaling talent programs that facilitate employee growth and development.
Demonstrated examples where metrics and data were used to drive talent programs.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of DEI and Talent Management, including related industry best practices with a familiarity of current research, strengths, and drawbacks of each
Demonstrated success in coaching organizational leaders at the executive level.
Demonstrated collaboration and influence across the organization.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to “create a story” using data and research.
Location – Remote, preference is Austin, Texas
