The Vice President, Total Rewards is responsible for the vision , architecture and execution of a comprehensive total rewards strategy that promotes competitive and differentiated employee rewards while enabling the company to attract, engage and retain high performing and high potential talent who are mission driven to create lasting social change.
Responsibilities & Requirements
What you'll do:
- Lead the total rewards strategy by applying best-in-class benchmarks and programs that align with and enable the long-term business goals to support an excellent employee experience.
- Serve as a thought leader in partnership with Senior Leadership and the People Team to introduce and execute scalable programs and solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Proactively assess and adapt total rewards programs to changing business priorities, including acquisition and integration activity as required.
- Perform ongoing analyses and audits to assess total rewards program effectiveness and recommend portfolio enhancements.
- Create and/or amend company policies and processes regarding total rewards as business or legislative changes require.
- E nsure excellence and strong regulatory compliance with all applicable legislation.
- Provide strategic advice to business leaders on all matters related to total rewards strategy.
- Successfully manage a portfolio of vendor partners to deliver seamless total rewards to employees.
- Bring s ignificant experience scoping and leading complex enterprise-wide projects and programs and executing with excellence within defined timing, resources, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively at an executive level and successfully build alignment among a wide variety of stakeholders (CEO/ ELT/SLT , People Team and business leaders).
- Effective application of vendor management metrics, measures and monitoring mechanisms to achieve business requirements.
- Demonstrated proficiency in business/financial acumen and analysis to design, deliver and measure effectiveness of compensation strategy, benefits plans and department operating budgets.
Who you are:
- Strong desire to support a high growth social good tech company and motivation to create lasting social change aligned with the company mission
- P rovide the experience needed to drive innovation that leads to high quality, effective total rewards structures, policies, and procedures.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits at mid to large size companies with scaled leadership experience working directly with the CEO, ELT and Board (Compensation Committee) on executive/equity compensation strategies and programs
- 10+ years of experience directly applicable to the design, analysis, communication and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Proven track record assessing, negotiating, and selecting vendors as well as managing the long-term relationships to ensure performance.
- Ability to negotiate, organize plan , problem solve and partner with leaders to achieve desired objectives.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, analytics, report and presentation generation.
- Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce across a variety of job functions.
- Strong business acumen, financial, analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels, including executive leaders.
- Working knowledge of executive compensation.
- Superb people, management and communication skills with ability to interact with peers, senior Executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and external third parties.
