JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders across Operations. You will help leaders navigate the complexities of scaling teams in a fast-paced robotics environment while building strong people practices that drive engagement, accountability, operational effectiveness, and performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES or KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Partnership & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Partner closely with Operations leadership to align people strategies with business priorities, workforce planning, and operational goals
  • Provide coaching and consultation on organizational design, team structure, leadership effectiveness, and workforce optimization
  • Support leaders through periods of rapid growth, organizational change, and evolving business needs
  • Help build scalable people practices and processes that support operational excellence and long-term growth
  • Serve as a thought partner to leaders on employee engagement, retention, and team performance strategies

Leadership Coaching & Employee Relations

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders on employee relations, performance management, and leadership challenges
  • Coach leaders on delivering effective feedback, driving accountability, and fostering high-performing teams
  • Conduct investigations and provide recommendations related to employee concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of policies, practices, and employment decisions across teams and locations
  • Balance employee experience, business objectives, and risk mitigation in decision-making

Talent, Performance & Development

  • Drive performance management processes including goal setting, calibration discussions, mid-year check-ins, and annual reviews
  • Partner with leaders to identify talent gaps, succession planning opportunities, and development needs
  • Support onboarding and workforce ramp-up efforts in high-growth operational environments
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and business leaders on hiring strategies and workforce planning initiatives
  • Help strengthen manager capability through coaching, tools, and development resources

Culture, Engagement & Change Management

  • Support initiatives that strengthen culture, communication, accountability, inclusion, and employee engagement
  • Analyze engagement data, turnover trends, workforce metrics, and organizational insights to inform action plans and recommendations
  • Partner with leaders to drive change management efforts and improve organizational effectiveness
  • Facilitate listening sessions, feedback loops, and action planning to improve the employee experience across operational teams
  • Champion a culture focused on innovation, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement

Compliance & HR Operations

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour requirements
  • Partner with Legal, Payroll, Recruiting, and HR Operations teams to ensure consistent and compliant HR practices
  • Support policy development, interpretation, and communication across operational teams
  • Leverage HR data and analytics to drive informed decision-making and workforce planning
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR programs, systems, and operational processes

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations in distributed or operational environments
  • Strong employee relations, investigation, and conflict resolution experience
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy to operational and organizational goals
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders at all levels of the organization
  • Experience navigating ambiguity and building scalable processes in a high-growth or startup environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building capabilities
  • Working knowledge of employment law, wage and hour regulations, and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience with HRIS systems and people analytics tools preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 
  • 5–8+ years of HR experience, with strong exposure to operations, manufacturing, field services, or similar environments 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Vision to read printed materials and a computer screen
  • Hearing and speech to communicate
