Job Description

Reports to the Manager of Identity and Access Management. This position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day execution of processes and procedures related to the authorization, maintenance, governance, and termination of user access.

The IAM Analyst works cross-functionally with IT, Security, HR, and business teams to fulfill access requests, identify access issues, and ensure user lifecycle activities follow documented security policies and procedures. The role supports ongoing improvements to IAM workflows by providing operational feedback and helping maintain accurate process documentation.

The IAM Analyst assists in documenting IAM procedures and supports quality assurance activities to ensure Tier I and Tier II access requests are processed according to established standards. The role may also support coordination with external or extended support teams under the direction of IAM management.

  • Experience with user provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning in a cloud environment such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with Google Workspace preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA; general familiarity with NIST and PCI is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts, including least privilege and role-based access.
  • Experience utilizing audit reports or access review tools to support user access audits and produce audit evidence.
  • Basic understanding of the importance of access controls in securing applications and data.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills using Excel or Google Sheets, including filters, basic formulas, and simple lookups.
  • Experience supporting user lifecycle management, including onboarding, access changes, and terminations.
  • Ability to differentiate between standard user access and privileged/admin access, escalating when appropriate.
  • Experience working from approved access requests, tickets, and documented procedures.
  • Support the Identity and Access Management team with a primary focus on user access tasks across multiple systems.
  • Accurately document provisioning actions and access changes within ticketing or tracking systems.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews to ensure established IAM processes and procedures are followed.
  • Serve as an escalation point for urgent access-related tasks from Tier I queues when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, HR, and Compliance.
  • Assist with regular user access audits, including reviewing access requests and validating access approvals.
  • Maintain adherence to organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating identity governance documentation and procedures as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Tier 1 Help Desk or IT Support experience
  • Experience performing user account management and access provisioning as part of an IT or service desk role.
  • Experience supporting a healthcare or regulated environment is strongly preferred
  • Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures and workflows
  • Basic knowledge of security and access control concepts as outlined in this job description
  • Ability to comply with and support HIPAA and data privacy requirements
  • Strong written documentation and communication skills

The salary range for this role is $70,040.00 to $87,550.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% . The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
