5. Scope of Responsibilities


The Supplier Personnel will work fully remote and coordinate with the Customer for tasks requiring physical access (e.g., cabling, frame interventions).


5.1. ADC & Power Systems Engineering


• Administer IBM AIX 7.2 across designated LPARs; perform patching, tuning, kernel updates, and


maintenance.


• Configure and manage PowerVM/LPARs, dual VIOS, and HMC; troubleshoot NPIV/vFC pathing


to Pure Storage arrays.


• Plan and execute OS and firmware updates, alternate disk/NIM-assisted migrations with


documented rollback plans.

5.2. Incident, Problem & Performance Management


• Provide Tier-3 escalation support for outages and performance incidents; lead RCA and


preventative remediation.


• Perform capacity and performance monitoring with actionable optimization recommendations.


5.3. Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery Readiness


• Collaborate on SAN integrations, validate multipath health, and maintain NIM server operations.


• Operate IBM Spectrum Protect for backup/recovery; document and validate restore procedures.


• Support Live Partition Mobility prerequisites and post-move validation for datacenter relocation


tasks, as requested.


5.4. Automation, Documentation & Knowledge Transfer


• Create and maintain scripts (e.g., shell/Ansible) to standardize patching and compliance_tasks


where feasible.


• Maintain runbooks, SOPs, environment maps (LPARNIOS/HMC/NIM), and change


documentation.


• Provide knowledge transfer to customer staff through documented steps and working sessions.
