🌱 The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team and help us exceed customer expectations. As a key player in our organization, you’ll work closely with utility clients to design, implement, and optimize enterprise solutions that address complex business needs.

This is a fully remote role, though it does involve periodic travel to client sites across the US and Canada - you'll need to be able to travel freely between both countries. ✈️

We evaluate all candidates against our SA I-III competency framework throughout the interview process to ensure the right levelling based on experience, technical depth, and delivery complexity. Unlike some of our other roles, utility CIS implementation experience and a consulting background are non-negotiable at every level - including SA I. What distinguishes SA II and SA III candidates is the breadth of systems experience, the complexity of projects they've owned, and the depth of their client leadership.

🎯 What You'll Be Doing:

  • Partnering with clients to align their business goals with SpryPoint's best-in-class solutions
  • Leading discovery sessions, process reviews, and integration designs to deliver tailored solutions
  • Ensuring high-quality implementations by conducting audits, reviewing documentation, and providing feedback on process designs
  • Overseeing system configuration and providing input on training and testing materials
  • Maintaining and updating project documentation, including issue logs, configuration guides, and test cases
  •

🚀 What You Bring to the Table:

  • 3+ years of experience implementing enterprise utility software, with hands-on experience in Customer Information Systems (CIS) - this is required at all levels SA I-III
  • A consulting background with proven ability to work directly with utility clients in a delivery capacity
  • Proven ability to map processes and manage large process mapping projects
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Excellent communication skills, with a talent for presenting complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with clients, senior management, and team members
  • A sharp, analytical mind capable of solving complex problems quickly and efficiently
  • In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies for large-scale software projects
  • The ability to work under pressure while managing multiple priorities
  •

🌟 What Sets You Apart

  • Experience with Mobile Field Management (MFM), Work Order & Asset Management (WAMS), and Customer Engagement Portals
  • Familiarity with analyzing large data sets
  • Knowledge of Reporting & Business Intelligence platforms

🚀 Interview Process:

We aim to make your experience thoughtful, transparent, and efficient - no surprises, just a clear path forward.

Here's what you can expect:

📞 Step 1: Recruiter Screening Conversation: A relaxed 30-minute chat to learn more about your background, career goals, and what's drawing you to SpryPoint.

👩‍💼 Step 2: 60-Minute Interview with a Solutions Architect Manager: A deeper dive into your implementation experience, technical approach, and client delivery style.

📝 Step 3: Take-Home Assignment: A real-world scenario where you'll design a comprehensive solution for implementing a utility billing platform for a municipal utility client - including a process flow diagram, integration details, and a written summary of your approach.

🎤 Step 4: Final Presentation & Discussion with CoE and Portfolio Leadership: You'll walk our Director of Centre of Excellence and Portfolio Director through your solution in a collaborative session - presenting your approach, fielding questions, and demonstrating how you think on your feet when requirements shift. It's as much about how you communicate and consult as it is about the solution itself.

🚀 Step 5: References/Offer: We'll check your references to confirm all the great things we've learned about you. If all goes well, we’ll be thrilled to extend an offer and welcome you to the team! ✨

Throughout the process, we'll be looking at technical depth, business acumen, client leadership, and your ability to translate complex concepts into practical solutions. We encourage you to bring your authentic consulting style to every step. 💡✨
