LightEdge’s Service Delivery Engineer will provide courteous and professional deployment of LightEdge services while working directly with customers on complex projects. Work typically includes the configuration and troubleshooting of complex network, security, and hosted services and the development of supporting documentation

    Responsibilities

    • Provide remote service delivery support and administration
    • May provide on-site datacenter equipment installation
    • Work directly with LightEdge Solutions clients to determine project requirements
    • Identify, correct, and advise on incidents related to client services
    • Accept escalated service requests and incidents from team peers
    • Effectively communicate project status to Project Managers and client
    • Creation of environment design based on sales solution proposal
    • Deployment of network, systems, software, and security to fulfill customer contracts
    • Complete all design documentation, including equipment configuration, quickly and completely following a project completion
    • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
    • Provide quality assurance review for service delivery team peers before service release
    • Contribute toward collaborative sessions during interdepartmental discussions
    • Continuous service delivery innovation and improvement
    • Minimum 40 hours/week required
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Education And Experience

      • Associate degree in Information Technology, a related discipline, relevant certifications, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
      • 3+ years and a general understanding in one or more of the following areas of expertise:
        • Networking – routers, switches, etc.
        • Security – hardware & software firewalls, load balancers, etc.
        • Virtualization – VMware (preferred), HyperV, Kubernetes, etc.
        • Storage / Backups – image / agent based, iSCSI provisioning, etc.
        • Experience working in a datacenter or managed service provider
        • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
        • Experience working and opening trouble tickets with vendors and / or telecom carriers
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work in a collaborative team environment
        • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
        • Ability to multi-task and operate with minimal supervision, adjusting priorities accordingly
        • Able to maintain professional demeanor under stress
        • Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt to changes in technology
