We office in Austin, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio – with a portfolio spanning the United States and beyond.

TBG has an opening in our Austin office for an industrial/graphic designer on our firmwide Branded Environments team. The industrial/graphic designer brings concepts to life through compelling visual storytelling, precise technical documentation, and design detail. In this role, you will collaborate with senior team members to translate brand strategies into built experiences, developing signage systems, murals, environmental graphics, and other expressions of place. 

 Requirements:

  • Develop environmental graphics, signage concepts, and branded visuals under direction of senior team members. 
  • Assist in preparation of design presentations, drawing sets, and documentation packages for fabrication and installation. 
  • Conduct research on materials, fabrication techniques, and user experience best practices. 
  • Participate in internal reviews and contribute ideas during team brainstorming sessions. 
  • Support coordination across disciplines, vendors, and consultants to ensure design intent is maintained through delivery. 
  • Help maintain brand guidelines and quality standards across projects. 
  • Contribute to studio knowledge-sharing and creative culture. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Interior Design, or equivalent experience. 
  • 2–5 years of experience in graphic, industrial, or environmental graphic design. 
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals, typography, and storytelling. 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or Affinity; experience with SketchUp, Revit, and Rhino a plus. 
  • Familiarity with signage documentation and architectural plan reading. 
  • Interest in branding, placemaking, and user experience. 
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
