Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under the direction of the IT Security Management team, the Information Systems Security Administrator will participate in the development and support of the Company’s information security program. This will include providing technical support and guidance in the areas of security analysis, intrusion detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and network security management based on information security standards and best practices. Provides routine support to IT departments globally and occasionally to end users regarding security systems maintenance (within established policies and procedures) requiring some supervision; performs installations, updates, backups, and troubleshooting activities


• Contain, remediate, and eradicate cybersecurity incidents based on documented response procedures and plans

• Assist in the resolution of reported security incidents

• Knowledge of current vulnerabilities and cyber threats

• Experience tuning security alerts from technologies such as SIEM, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, Web Content Gateways, and Enterprise AV

• Experience implementing and/or utilizing a SIEM tool is preferred

• Administer and monitor the health of the SIEM and its log sources

• Assist in deploying selected technical controls to meet specific security requirements

• Assist in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation

• Analyze security systems changes and participate in technical troubleshooting

• Install, configure, and support all security server-based business applications. Serve as an administrator for those applications

• Monitor daily or weekly reports and security logs for unusual events

• Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews as needed

• Proactively identify security systems improvements for current or future projects

• Responsible for ensuring backup/recovery plans for security systems are in place and tested

• Experience across multiple IT functional areas of infrastructure/programming & development/ERP systems is preferred

• Work in collaboration with IT teams on projects to ensure security issues are addressed throughout the project lifecycle

• Travel to remote offices for deployment, planning and disaster recovery

Qualifications



QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Bachelor degree (Computer Science or related field preferred) or equivalent experience in IT role

• 3+ years of cybersecurity experience

• 3+ years of vulnerability management experience

• Knowledge of standard network protocols and principles

• Solid understanding of all TCP/IP concepts and technologies

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST, GDPR, ISO 27001/27002

• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask

• Detail oriented individual that works well in a team environment

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Take initiative to develop new approaches to resolve security incidents

• Possess a self-starter attitude

• Good verbal and written knowledge of English

• Security certifications are a plus, i.e. CISSP, Security +, etc.

• Splunk experience/knowledge strongly desired
