About The Opportunity

Wonder’s Enterprise Technology team is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to establish and scale the hosting, deployment, and integration foundations that support builders of all technical levels as they launch and maintain the apps and agents they’ve built with AI. You’ll work across enterprise technology, platform engineering, security, data, and business teams to turn employee-built prototypes into secure, reliable, supported applications.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Build and operate the infrastructure for employee-built applications, including deployment environments, hosting, databases, networking, and appropriate access controls.
  • Help assess and implement the right hosting and development platform for Wonder’s needs, working with platform engineering, security, data, and business teams.
  • Create repeatable deployment paths that help teams move applications from local prototypes into secure, reliable cloud environments.
  • Set up and maintain integrations with the tools employees use, which may include Slack, Gmail, Google Sheets, Salesforce, Looker, BigQuery, and other business systems.
  • Design and implement version control workflows, including Git and GitHub integration, so applications can be reviewed, tracked, maintained, and safely rolled back.
  • Build reusable infrastructure patterns and automation, using infrastructure as code where appropriate.
  • Establish secure foundations for application hosting, including identity, secrets management, environment separation, data access, backups, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Help teams understand how to deploy and operate their applications, and provide hands-on guidance from initial setup through launch and ongoing support.
  • Learn how employees work and shape the platform around their needs: reduce unnecessary complexity, make common tasks self-service, and explain technical steps in clear language.
  • Provide highly responsive, patient support to builders with different levels of technical experience. Follow through on issues and help users become confident operating their applications.
  • Gather feedback from users and use it to improve platform workflows, documentation, examples, and support.
  • Document architecture, deployment procedures, integration patterns, operational ownership, and maintenance expectations.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Experience building or operating cloud infrastructure and application deployment environments, ideally on Google Cloud Platform or another major cloud provider.
  • Strong understanding of application hosting, networking, databases, identity and access management, and production operations.
  • Experience with version control systems, especially Git and GitHub, and workflows for code review, release, and rollback.
  • Experience automating infrastructure and deployments with tools such as Terraform and CI/CD systems.
  • Experience integrating applications with APIs and business systems, and a practical understanding of authentication, authorization, and secret storage.
  • A customer-focused approach to infrastructure: you care whether people can successfully use the platform, not just whether it is technically sound.
  • Ability to make complex technical workflows approachable for users who may not be professional software engineers.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Good judgment balancing speed, simplicity, security, reliability, and cost.

Got These? Even Better

  • Experience building platforms or paved paths for internal developers, citizen developers, or low-code/no-code teams.
  • Experience with Vercel or comparable application hosting and development platforms.
  • Experience with platforms such as Superblocks, Lovable, or similar AI-assisted app-building tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled software development workflows and the infrastructure needed to take generated code into supported applications.
  • Experience with Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, or integrations across enterprise productivity systems.
  • Experience supporting applications that handle sensitive data or require strong access boundaries.

What Success Looks Like

  • Existing employee-built applications have a clear path to secure, supported cloud hosting.
  • Teams can deploy and update applications through documented, repeatable workflows with version history and rollback.
  • Integrations and permissions are reliable, appropriately scoped, and maintainable.
  • Employees can make progress without needing to understand every layer of cloud infrastructure.
  • Builders receive timely, highly supportive help and grow more confident using the platform.
  • The platform balances ease of use with security, reliability, and cost controls.
