This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.

How You Will Make an Impact

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance our hybrid IT environment. This role is critical to maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of our infrastructure, with a strong focus on networking and cloud technologies. You will work across both on-premises and cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hybrid Infrastructure Design & Management

    • Architect and maintain resilient hybrid infrastructure across Azure and on-premises platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server).

    • Ensure secure integration and seamless operation between cloud and on-prem systems.

  • Cloud Infrastructure (Azure)

    • Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, networking, storage, identity).

    • Implement automation, monitoring, and backup solutions to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.

  • Networking

    • Manage enterprise network environments using Fortinet (FortiGate), Cisco Meraki, and Aruba technologies.

    • Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs (site-to-site and client), SD-WAN, and secure internet gateways.

    • Troubleshoot and optimize LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi and firewall performance.

  • Server Infrastructure

    • Oversee Windows/Linux server deployments, patching, and performance tuning.

    • Ensure system availability, security, and capacity planning.

  • Security & Compliance

    • Apply best practices in infrastructure security and participate in audits and compliance (ISO, NIST, SOX).

    • Manage access controls, firewalls, and threat prevention systems.

  • Collaboration & Support

    • Work closely with DevOps, InfoSec, and Automation teams to support deployments and integrations.

    • Provide Tier 3 support and act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.

  • Documentation

    • Maintain detailed documentation for network/system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years in IT infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.

  • Strong hands-on experience with:

    • Microsoft Azure (VMs, VNets, Azure AD, NSGs, ExpressRoute/VPN)

    • Cisco Meraki (Switching, Wireless, Security Appliances)

    • Fortinet FortiGate firewalls (rule management, VPNs, threat prevention)

    • Windows/Linux server environments (Hyper-V/VMware)

    • Networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, DHCP, DNS)

  • Scripting or infrastructure automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep) a plus.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, PRTG, SolarWinds, Data Dog) and ticketing systems.

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, etc.)

  • Fortinet NSE 4 or higher

  • Meraki CMNA or Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP)

  • Experience in hybrid identity and access management (AD, Azure AD, SSO)
