The Advertising Sales Consultant (ASC) is responsible for securing new Dealer.com (DDC) Advertising business i.g. new advertising business, new advertising channels, and existing customer growth through increases in partnership with their territory and account stakeholders.
The ASC focuses on understanding the dealer sales needs, marketing strategies, digital marketing space, and business requirements - and leverages this understanding to drive advertising sales, meet assigned quotas, forecast accurately, and develop a pipeline to meet business objectives.
What You'll Do
  • Work with their assigned territory partners to define monthly strategies and objectives within assigned geography.
  • Proactively engage clients in a targeted way to maximize sales productivity/output.
  • Maintain expert level product knowledge to share with dealers and territory sales/support/account partners.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of all Dealer.com OEM program rules. Have the ability to share that knowledge with dealers and internal partners as needed.
  • Lead client discussions and presentations via Web based meetings and phone calls. Schedule and lead follow up meetings as needed.
  • Identify decision makers, near term client business issues, pain points and challenges, about which DDC can improve, enhance, or remedy the situation.
  • Negotiate terms, create and deliver sales proposals that are approved by sales management.
  • Complete strategy consultations and onboarding meetings as needed to secure launch and handoff to account stakeholders.
  • Achieve assigned activity goals and meet minimal sales performance standards (QUOTA), maintain organizational standards for managing dealer contact and consulting activity, and adhere to our corporate values in all business activity.
  • Identify and escalate client issues and concerns which you believe require senior management level intervention to management.
  • Complete weekly pre-call research activity at assigned activity levels and log acquired business intelligence into Salesforce database. Follow the prescribed DDC sales process to manage optimal results.

Who You Are
Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years' experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years' experience in a related field

Preferred:
  • 2-3 years software, advertising sales, or automotive sales experience
  • Experience effectively building relationships as well as doing needs assessment and qualifying and closing business over the telephone
  • Ability to use and interpret research and data for the purpose of helping customers find opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Previous experience using Salesforce.com
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

USD 20.77 - 31.15 per hour
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is $20.77 - $31.15/hour. The hourly rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the hourly range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $50,000.00.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
