Job Summary:
As an Inside Business Sales Specialist, you will drive revenue growth by focusing primarily on outbound prospecting, cold calling, and high-volume business-to-business (B2B) outreach to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). While you will manage incoming inquiries as needed, this role is centered on proactive hunting, securing new business accounts, and expanding services for existing SMB customers through strategic phone-based sales.

Top performers earn a potential $5,000 - $7,000+ per month in commissions (based on sales goals), with the opportunity to grow your career as our company continues to expand across multiple states.

Location: 
•    The role will be based out of Southlake, TX.


Compensation:

  • This role offers a $17.50/hour base rate combined with a competitive, uncapped commission structure tied to individual sales performance and quota achievement rewarding high performers with strong earning potential.

Duties / Responsibilities:
•    Outbound Prospecting & Sales Generation: Drive the sales pipeline by dedicating a significant portion of daily activities to outbound calling, cold outreach, and lead generation targeted at SMB decision-makers to acquire new commercial accounts.
•    Sales Goals: Consistently achieve or exceed weekly and monthly sales quotas and activity targets (including outbound call volume, talk time, and new accounts booked) by utilizing effective phone-based B2B selling techniques.
•    Call & Pipeline Management: Execute high-volume outbound calls and promptly handle inbound inquiries, adhering strictly to performance and productivity metrics such as handle time, schedule adherence, and productive work time.
•    SMB Product & Service Sales: Effectively pitch FiberFirst commercial products and services tailored to the unique telecommunications and data needs of small and medium businesses, maximizing revenue through strategic upselling and cross-selling.
•    Competitor & Market Awareness: Maintain a deep understanding of local business competitors' pricing, fiber packages, and service speeds to deliver compelling side-by-side value propositions during outbound sales pitches.
•    Order Processing & CRM Management: Master order processing and billing systems to accurately input sales orders, verify commercial serviceability, track pipelines, and manage customer accounts.
•    Product Knowledge: Maintain expert-level knowledge of FiberFirst business solutions to clearly communicate technical value, reliability, and scalability to prospective business clients.
•    Marketing Promotions: Proactively communicate current business marketing campaigns, promotions, and introductory offers during outreach calls to accelerate deal closure.
•    Issue Resolution & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal operations, engineering, and customer support teams to facilitate smooth service delivery and resolve pre- or post-sale client inquiries.
•    Additional Duties: Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Education and / or Experience:
•    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
•    Experience: Minimum of 2 years of sales experience within a call center, inside sales environment, or high-volume B2B outbound prospecting role. Telecommunications or tech sales experience is strongly preferred.

•    Clear and professional communication skills with customers and colleagues.
•    Demonstrated ability to apply sales techniques and achieve sales goals.
•    Basic computer and consumer electronics skills.
•    Proficiency in using personal computers and software applications, including billing
systems.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills.
•    Effective organizational and prioritization skills.
•    Ability to exercise judgment and initiative in performing job duties.
•    Working knowledge of Fiber communication products, including video (TV), internet, and voice (telephone).
•    Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and split days off.
