Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to work cooperatively with our current customers, outside sales and other members of the distribution team to maintain current customer base and pursue additional opportunities, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Abide by IPP’s safety and Health Policies and Procedures including wearing proper PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Provide sound business judgment when interacting with each customer. This includes using independent discretion, creativeness, and quantitative analysis when handling each interaction, i.e., especially when pricing material, considering customer market pricing, quantity and type of material requested.
- Complete all SAP TASKS given by Manager to help convert quotes to orders.
- Ensure customers satisfaction is achieved through product knowledge and properly communicating with customers in a timely manner according to customer needs and bid dates.
- Address customer inquiries and determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Work with supply-chain production and utilize inventory management software to accurately determine availability and delivery of products to customers.
- Determine price and availability for customers’ RFQs ensuring our material is available, competitively priced and focused on maximizing profit.
- Communicate with distribution manager to obtain shipping and freight pricing and estimated time of arrival.
- Review new purchase orders (POs) to ensure correct pricing, item codes, and freight terms to ensure information is properly communicated to data entry.
- Will occasionally assist with accurately entering purchase orders into the sales software system to ensure correct product, pricing, and shipment.
- Prior to shipping, review order acknowledgement against customer purchase order ensuring customer information, freight company, shipment method, payment terms and product codes are correct.
- Follow up on product quotes to provide additional information and close out any outstanding quotes.
- Communicate with management regarding customer needs and determine tentative solutions to arrive at a quote.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Non-Essential Functions:
- Contact customers following a sale to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction, resolve any possible issues, and identify any trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service or sales experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently with little oversight in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide sound business decisions and financial analysis.
- Strong organizational skills, including time management, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, prioritize workflow, and possess analytical thinking and basic math skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Knowledge of Internet, MS Office Suite, and sales lifecycle management tools.
- Ability to sense and relate observations to business opportunity, coachable, ability to pick up new tasks quickly.
Physical Conditions:
- This position will work under general office conditions; however, it may be required to walk or move to other areas of the building to interact with other departments

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required..
- Minimum of one year of customer service or sales experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- For this position, you must be an exceptional listener with excellent time management, verbal communication and presentation skills. You must be self-motivated and competitive, but also a team player. Good problem-solving skills and a high level of integrity are also essential. An employee might make the ability to meet sales quotas a critical requirement. For example, you might be expected to make a specific number of calls each day to obtain a certain number of new clients every month.

- Highly detail oriented to ensure that orders are issued correctly and quotes for prices are correct.
