Introduction:

The Zebra is revolutionizing how connected consumers research and shop for insurance. We intentionally strive to build diverse teams that feel inclusive for all. Our motto is "All Stripes Welcome," and we put that into practice by valuing both traditional and non-conventional backgrounds and perspectives. Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, & working together to tackle exciting problems.

Our teams are made up of driven, curious professionals who are motivated by growth, performance, and the opportunity to build a meaningful career, not just hold a job. We invest deeply in training, development, and advancement for those who consistently deliver results.

As an Insurance Sales Advisor, you’ll guide customers through the insurance shopping journey, identify opportunities to recommend the right coverage, and confidently drive purchase decisions across digital channels.

This role is ideal for professionals who are motivated by performance-based earnings, thrive in goal-driven environments, and want to build or accelerate a long-term career in insurance sales. While the role includes an hourly base, success here is measured by conversion, revenue impact, and customer outcomes; not time on the clock.

This is not a traditional call center role. Advisors who thrive here take ownership of outcomes, actively look for sales opportunities, and are energized by measurable results.

Location:
  • 100% remote

  • Must work from your primary residence in Texas

  • New hires must relocate to Texas by their start date if not already located there

Schedule & Availability
  • Full-time (40 hours/week)

  • Schedules are set quarterly through a shift-bid process

  • Advisors work 8-hour or 10-hour schedules within the following windows:

    • Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM

    • Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Flexibility to work evenings or weekends is required based on business needs. As our Agency continues to grow, schedules may evolve.

Compensation & Earning Potential:
  • Total first-year earning potential $60,000

  • Top-performing, tenured Advisors earn $85,000+ annually

  • Uncapped incentive structure directly tied to individual performance

  • Hourly base provided to support stability while you build momentum

This role rewards professionals who are motivated by performance, continuous improvement, and long-term earning growth.

Who Thrives in This Role:

This position is best suited for professionals who:

  • Are motivated by achievement, feedback, and measurable goals

  • Take ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for direction

  • Are energized by sales performance, conversion metrics, and earnings growth

  • Value flexibility but also bring discipline and accountability to a remote environment

  • Are looking for a career, not a short-term or task-based role

This role is not a fit for individuals seeking strictly clock-in/clock-out work or minimal performance accountability.

What You’ll Do:
  • Engage inbound customers via chat, SMS, and email with speed, professionalism, and empathy

  • Guide customers through quotes, applications, and coverage options

  • Identify and act on opportunities to convert, upsell, and cross-sell

  • Proactively re-engage customers to complete purchases

  • Maintain accurate documentation using CRM and internal tools

  • Meet or exceed performance metrics related to conversion, revenue, and customer experience

  • Collaborate with licensed agents and leadership on complex cases or escalations

What We’re Looking For:
  • 1+ year of experience in a performance-driven environment (sales, digital service, or similar)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred and highly valued

  • Strong written communication skills and confidence engaging customers digitally

  • Proven ability to influence outcomes and close opportunities

  • Comfort working toward measurable goals and performance metrics

  • Coachable mindset with a desire to grow and advance

  • High integrity, accountability, and professionalism

  • Strong technical aptitude and comfort with web-based tools and CRM systems

This role is best suited for individuals who are motivated by achievement, feedback, and upward mobility; not those seeking strictly task-based or clock-in/clock-out work.

Experience That Will Set You Apart:
  • Active Texas General Lines Property & Casualty license

  • Insurance sales experience

  • Digital sales, e-commerce, or online customer engagement experience

Interview Process:
  1. Recruiter Screen – Pre-qualification form to assess alignment and experience

  2. Team Interview – 45-minute Zoom interview focused on skills and performance scenarios

  3. Final Interview – 30-minute Zoom conversation covering growth path and expectations

Benefits & Perks

We intentionally build inclusive, healthy environments where employees can grow and thrive. Benefits include:

  • Unlimited planned PTO

  • Health, Dental, Vision & Disability coverage

  • $100 wellness stipend

  • HSA with employer contribution

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid parental leave

  • $40/month internet stipend

  • Learning & development programs

  • Join a team that truly lives their values (outside of the office. Cliche, we know… but we really mean it)
