Internship Objective
We are looking for Software Engineer Intern that aspire to learn, enjoy helping others, love to innovate, and can apply the right technologies to solve a wide range of software problems. To be a successful candidate, you must demonstrate a passion for learning new domains, system architectures, languages, and operating systems. You must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, which you will use to work with customers, fix problems, and collaboratively drive improvements in application functionality and performance. And you will be dedicated to the creation and maintenance of innovative software that enables Micron's engineering teams to deliver products that power our customer's innovation.

Job Description
We are the software development team responsible for the global quality systems. We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment should be enthusiastic and collaborative. You should be willing to help with any tasks assigned by a supervisor. You will be involved in upcoming projects as well as assisting with current campaigns. I believe you will definitely gain exciting real-world software engineering experience at Micron!
As a Software Engineer Intern you will configure, develop, maintain and support Micron and third-party applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You must demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to provide the best solution. You are expected to leverage powerful AI tools to support the successful completion of your internship project assignments, while also contributing to the optimization and improvement of Micron's IT team's overall software development processes and operational workflows, with the goal of enhancing overall IT productivity.
Primary Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Leverage powerful AI tools to support the successful completion of your internship project assignments.
  • Creating and integrating intuitive user experiences into our software applications.
  • Developing/enhancing solutions that solve business needs.
  • Enhancing and providing support for existing solutions that are adding value.
  • Generating proactive monitoring and usage metrics that establish system baselines to be able to predict future demands.
  • Communicating and collaborating with peer groups to ensure our software meets internal standards.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Familiar with OOP, C#, Angular JS, Javascript, RESTful APIs, Web technologies, Git Hub, Solace, OpenShift, MS-SQL, Unit Test, Linux is preferable.
  • Knowledge and experience developing Restful web API using NodeJS/C#, or other language.
  • Knowledge or experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
  • Virtualization technologies and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) would be good.

Having expertise in system building, implementation, and troubleshooting is considered an advantage.
