Internship Program 

At Five9 we are committed to providing an exceptional experience for our interns.  We tailor our program to provide participants with real, impactful work, contributing directly to the continued success of Five9.  Through our Speaker Series, Intern Buddies, Employee Resource Groups, and other events, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the best in the business. 

This is a full-time, fully remote paid internship. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or mid-June.

The Intern Associate Platform Engineer position is an entry level position that will introduce the applicant to Five9 and Five9 Contact Center Product and Delivery Methodology.  As an entry level contributor to the Professional Services Team, the ideal candidate will be a passionate, ready-to-learn player wanting to develop his/her skills towards becoming a full Platform Engineer. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Learn Five9 products and processes 
  • Gain a working understanding of contact center terminology, processes, and telephony requirements 
  • Participate in opportunities to apply related knowledge in both a practice environment as well as production environments 
  • As knowledge develops, become more involved in actual client project implementation work 
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. 

Key Qualifications 

  • 2+ years college education with focus on computer sciences or related field 
  • Exposure to a Contact Center environment a plus 
  • Ability to work in a remote environment with little oversight or direction Inquisitive and not afraid to ask questions 
  • Self-starter possessing excellent time management skills 
  • Able to manage multiple activities simultaneously while being reviewed at a management level for growth  
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required. 

 Key Skills 

  • Strong technical aptitude in learning object-based development tools 
  • Must have strong aptitude in developing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with clients 
  • Solid communication skills, both verbal and written  
  • Ability to understand and quickly translate needs into strategies for a solution Multiple development language/tool experience a plus. 
  • Works well and collaborates in a team environment 

This is a full-time, paid internship. The program runs 11 weeks with the opportunity to start in early or mid June. This role is fully remote for candidates who reside outside the 50 mile radius of our San Ramon office.

The US base salary range for this role is below.
$25$25 USD
