Public Policy & Regulation Intern
Holland & Knight's Public Policy & Regulation Group operates a fall, spring, and summer internship program for current undergraduate students. Our internship program is structured around the academic semester/summer schedule. Generally, interns work a minimum of 18 hours and a maximum of 25 hours. This is a paid position. The program will be in-person in our Austin office.
Responsibilities:
Conduct substantive issue research.
Attend legislative and executive branch agency hearings.
Draft memorandums.
Prepare presentations for client meetings.
Provide general administrative support to our Washington, DC-based lobbying practice group.
Participate in meetings with the firm's senior personnel to discuss their practices, backgrounds, and experiences.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability.
Attention to detail.
Strong writing skills are essential requirements.
An applied understanding of executive and legislative branch processes will also be valuable to the intern experience.
Education:
Eligible candidates are current undergraduate students in good standing. Summer candidates must plan to be enrolled in class for the following fall semester.
