Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic IT Developer Intern to join our technology team. This internship offers hands-on experience working alongside experienced developers on real projects that drive business value. You will have the opportunity to apply and expand your technical skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while gaining insight into the full software development lifecycle.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications
  • Write clean, maintainable code following established best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior developers
  • Help troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements
  • Contribute to internal tools, automation scripts, and process improvements
  • Document technical specifications, workflows, and development notes
  • Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#)
  • Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
  • Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and REST APIs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js preferred
  • Exposure to back-end development with Node.js, Django, Spring Boot, or similar preferred
  • Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) preferred
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies preferred
  • Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in a software development setting preferred
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud preferred
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices preferred
