Job Overview

The IT Manager, Product is responsible for maximizing the value of the company’s Finance technology solutions by partnering with Finance and IT to deliver business-focused outcomes.
This role serves as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, and business stakeholders, translating business needs into product priorities and working with development teams to deliver solutions that improve Finance operations.
The ideal candidate combines strong Finance domain knowledge with proven Product Owner experience and the ability to partner effectively with Finance leadership.
Vision & Roadmap
- Own the Finance product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Balance strategic initiatives, operational improvements, compliance, and technical enhancements.
- Define and measure product success through business outcomes.
- Communicate priorities and roadmap updates to Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
Product & Backlog Management
 - Own and prioritize the product backlog.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and product reviews with the development team.
- Translate business requirements into user stories and actionable work items.
- Make priority decisions that keep delivery focused on business value.
Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary liaison between Finance and IT.
- Build strong relationships with Finance leadership and business stakeholders.
- Gather requirements, manage priorities, and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Partner with vendors and implementation partners as needed.

Finance & Process Improvement
- Support and improve Finance business processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Tax, and Collections.
- Partner with Finance subject matter experts to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and system enhancements.
- Ensure solutions align with accounting principles and business requirements.
Delivery & System Support
- Partner with IT teams on system implementations, enhancements, and integrations.
- Help ensure data quality and reliable system performance across Finance applications.
- Monitor delivery risks and support successful implementation of new functionality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ of Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Systems experience.
- Strong understanding of Finance and accounting processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Tax, Collections, and Month-End Close.
- Proven experience owning products from requirements through delivery.
- Experience partnering with Finance leadership to translate business needs into technology solutions.
- Experience working with IT teams on system implementations and integrations.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, backlog management, requirements gathering, and user story development.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience supporting Finance applications such as Salesforce, Zuora, Certinia (FinancialForce), ERP platforms, or similar technologies.
- Prior consulting or Finance transformation experience.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, or reporting tools.
- CSPO, PMI-PBA, or similar Agile/Product certifications.
