The reason behind the role

We are looking for a hands-on IT Network Administrator to help deploy, automate, and modernize our infrastructure, processes, and observability systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing networks, device and user lifecycles, and helping solve day-to-day IT requests. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, strong flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.

As an IT Network Administrator, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, scalability, and modernization of our network and systems, directly impacting the stability of our backend to help drive success of businesses across the green industry.

As our IT Network Administrator you will:

  • Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure
  • Implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
  • Solve day-to-day IT tickets submitted by our internal users.
  • Administer identity and access management systems (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace).
  • Manage SaaS applications and integrations
  • Manage device fleets across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android using MDM/endpoint management tools (Jamf, etc)
  • Handle hardware lifecycle tasks such as procurement, imaging, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Educate and support users on IT best practices, security hygiene, and technology usage.
  • Help identify ways to make IT more efficient and effective.

Does this sound like you?

If you have the following experience then this is a great role for you:

  • 3+ years of working with network infrastructure
  • Strong expertise with macOS and Windows
  • Experience with SaaS and Identity Provider management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to communicate technical information to an audience both inside and outside the IT team

A few ways to stand out, but not required 

  • Experience with ZTNA’s and deploying VPN solutions
  • Experience with Okta and low/no code platforms
  • Scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc)

Location: Remote; open to candidates in the US and Canada

Compensation:

  • Canada-based candidates: CAD 75,000 - 90,000
  • US-based candidates: USD 75,000 - 90,000
