We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Tech Standards & Enterprise Reusable Services capability to drive standardization and promote reuse as part of our NorthStar architecture. As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a critical role in driving and managing strategic technology initiatives related to architecture. Your expertise in program management, development practices, enterprise architecture, and financial services combined with a sound set of technical skills will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of complex projects and initiatives. In this role you will:

  • Communicate up and down the stack, interacting with executives, engineers and architects, business groups and shared services
  • Lead the tech standardization efforts to streamline technology and tools needed to support business need
  • Support building the reusable services backlog and help to execute development activities
  • Build and develop effective relationships with different product teams to find opportunities for reuse and promote usage of reusable services
  • Create an effective lifecycle process for enterprise reusable services and tech standards and think out of the box to deliver more with less resources
  • Help document and conduct presentations for technical, business and leadership audiences to promote reusable services and enforce tech standards
  • Lead the enterprise reusable services group planning activities across goals, KRs, KPIs etc.
  • Assist with change management activities for the team and beyond
  • Help design and implement workflows and other automations using low-code tools
  • Champion the financials of the tech standards & reusable team, yearly budget, and ongoing financial planning
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and driving operational efficiency within the program
Qualifications

What Makes You an ideal Candidate?

  • Experience in managing software development teams using a variety of programming languages and technologies
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to collaborate with different levels of hierarchy
  • Strong understanding of software development practices and architecture patterns & principles
  • Solid 10+ years of background in application development using Java/.Net as a developer/technical lead or architect
  • Experience in managing teams/programs utilizing microservices and event driven architecture
  • Strong experience in managing REST API development and onboarding different consumers internally and external
  • Substantial experience with cloud-related concepts & technologies, preferably Azure
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage program plans, budgets, and resources effectively
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to drive consensus and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to Identify and understand technical dependencies between initiatives
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education and Experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in technology leadership roles required
  • 3-5 years of experience as a technical program management or development manager required
  • Financial services industry experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or additional equivalent work or military experience preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Scrum Master Certification preferred
