POSITION SUMMARY

Veritone, a leader in enterprise AI software, is seeking a motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our Enterprise Infrastructure team.
This role plays a crucial part in supporting and optimizing our dynamic hybrid infrastructure, offering an opportunity to apply a candidate's experience to a diverse range of technologies. This includes managing physical and virtual servers across data centers and multiple cloud platforms, as well as expertise in Apple, Windows, and Linux operating systems, Network and Security platforms, and Identity and Directory services. Operating within a service-oriented, enterprise environment, critical IT support will be provided for our global workforce, spanning both centralized offices and remote setups.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an IT Systems Administrator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing Business-Critical IT Tasks: This includes overseeing essential enterprise infrastructure like operating systems, networks, security tools, SaaS platforms, software, and hardware, both on-premise and in cloud environments.

  • Providing Application Expertise: Your knowledge will be crucial for corporate applications such as Active Directory/Azure Active Directory, Google Workspace, MDM platforms, and Okta SSO.

  • Ensuring System Security and Resilience: You'll actively work to protect systems, assist with backup and disaster recovery efforts, and manage PC and server vulnerabilities.

  • Evaluating and Implementing Solutions: You'll play a key role in evaluating and implementing new hardware and software solutions to optimize our environment.

  • Supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Activity: You'll assist in consolidating corporate systems to align with the Veritone model during M&A events.

  • Offering User Support and Escalation: You'll provide essential administration and escalation support for our Mac and PC laptop users.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • We're looking for an IT Systems Administrator with 5 or more years of hands-on experience in IT operations and support. A strong candidate will demonstrate expertise in both managing a remote workforce's device lifecycle using Apple/macOS and Windows OS administration, particularly with MDM technologies like Addigy and Action1, and possess key experience in centralized Windows Server administration, patching, and support.

  • Your expertise should extend to cloud ecosystems like Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and you'll have an understanding of security devices (Fortinet, Cisco, Meraki) and network devices (Ubiquiti, Juniper) for basic troubleshooting and administration. Experience managing user identities and access controls through Active Directory, Okta, and Microsoft Entra AD is also key.

  •  We're looking for a self-directed, collaborative, and service-oriented IT professional with excellent communication skills who thrives participating in directed tasks, collaborative projects, and solid ITSM based operations.

Nice to Have

  • Training or certifications in software, cloud services, and hardware vendor-specific systems such as Microsoft Azure Administrator, RedHat Certified Systems Administrator, Google Workspace Administrator, VMWare Certified Professional, CCNA or Dell/HPE/Cisco/Fortinet systems..

  • Working knowledge or training in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and infrastructure automation.

  • Familiarity with Agile development and strong documentation/diagraming skills

  • Background implementing modern endpoint management, zero trust security, and infrastructure-as-code.
