The SkyGrid IT Team is looking for a self-driven, experienced IT Systems Administrator with customer service and problem-solving adaptability skills to directly assist in managing and maintaining all aspects of local IT systems and infrastructure. These responsibilities include the maintenance of company network and servers, device management (Windows, Mac, iOS, Linux), technical support, access management (including onboarding/off boarding), vendor management, and ensuring the company meets security requirements on all corporate assets. Performance Objectives:

  • Complete Support Desk tickets and end user support. 
  • Support and maintain a full audit of all systems and resources to ensure optimization and clean up. 
  • Assist in development of standardized IT policies and procedures. 
  • Support and maintain an internal user-facing knowledge base. 
  • Support the implementation of NIST 800-171 controls. 

Responsibilities:

  • Installs, configures and maintains multi-platform systems hardware, software, and components. 
  • Support, integrate and maintain all computer applications. 
  • Evaluates complex system’s production readiness and supportability. 
  • Performs the restoration of data, systems, computers, and other miscellaneous IT equipment. 
  • Integrate security solutions into information systems. 
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365. 
  • Provides support and input for the configuration management of computing systems. 
  • Administers users’ systems access to meet security requirements. 
  • Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery. 
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and documentation of IT systems. 
  • Configures and supports computing access management tools.
  • Supports and completes security audits of assets and systems. 
  • Documents and maintains procedures for access administration and audits.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of dedicated IT support within Microsoft and Apple verticals. 
  • Strong working knowledge MacOS, iOS, and Windows PC systems.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 Apps, MDM solutions (Intune and Kandji), and Microsoft EntraID management. 
  • Must be able to report to SkyGrid headquarters on a Hybrid schedule (Tuesdays/Thursdays) at minimum.
  • Must be a U.S. Person.

  • Strong working knowledge of: 
  • MacOS, iOS, and Windows PC systems with extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Office 365 Apps. 
  • MDM solutions (Intune and Kandji). 
  • Microsoft EntraID management. 

  • Working Experience in: 
  • Maintaining and updating devices using MDM solutions. 
  • Managing MacOS and Windows deployments, configurations, and updates using MDM solutions. 
  • Onboarding and offboarding users. 
  • Wiping and reinstalling MacOS and Windows. 
  • Performing account management and maintenance for various applications and systems (e.g., create or modify user accounts and permissions, assist with access issues, etc.). 
  • Configuring authentication integrations (e.g., SSO) in tools such as Azure or OKTA. 
  • Developing and maintaining company configuration policies, such as data retention. 
  • Managing ticketing systems (JIRA). 
  • Customer service and technical support. 
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, SSL, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related certifications. 
  • Systems Administration

  • Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
