TechOp Solutions is seeking a remote  Junior FOIA Analyst to conduct initial FOIA request reviews, perform records searches, draft response materials, and apply exemptions under supervision. 

***This position is contingent upon contract award.***

  • Assist in conducting internet and records-based research to support FOIA search and retrieval efforts. 
  • Support document review, identification of responsive records, and preparation of materials for redaction. 
  • Apply appropriate FOIA exemptions and redactions consistent with federal law 
  •  Receives, logs, scans, and routes incoming FOIA and mail records in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Performs additional duties as assigned. 

Requirements
  • Minimum of one (1) year of FOIA request processing experience supporting a US Government agency within the last 24 months. 
  • Proficient in applying redaction tools and documenting FOIA exemption determinations. 
  • Associate degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive internet and records research in support of FOIA search and review functions. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interface with leadership.
